Diminishing Returns from NPCs to Players Question

Can anyone help or point me into the right direction with this. I am looking on information on DR from NPC/Mobs/Boss against players. All the information I can find using Google returns information related to PvP or DR against NPCs from Players, but not NPCs to players.

Thanks

It’s highly specific if NPC CC has DR against a player. Most NPC’s CC abilities do not have a DR against a player.

I know I’ve encountered it somewhere in TBC, I just cant think of exactly where though.

Generally if it’s unremovable by a spell (decurse, dispel, etc) it doesn’t have a DR, I believe. Stomps and stuns are a good example.

I believe it’s a few fears from certain mobs that may show DR, but I’m also not 100% certain on that. A source would be nice to reference.

Well if you’ve ever Tank the Duck Cave portion of Black Temple, You are basically stunned 80% of the time because all of those concubines and other various bowls of fruit each have like a 2-3 sec stun. So you just sit there until they are all cleaved down.

This is exactly what I have been thinking, but someone was arguing with me about it.

I think I thought of an example. On the Isle, the demons that have wings and do a war stomp. I think the first stomp is like a 5sec stun, but subsequent stuns get shorter. So in this case, there is DR.

However, if you go to nagrand and pull a few clefthoofs, they all have like 2 sec stuns, and each stun is always 2 seconds and they can happen back to back to back.

NPC delivered CC suffers no DR. (that I’m aware of)

Only player / combat pet delivered CC can DR. (in my own experience)
