i rarely see a soul fire proc, should i be casting it on cd and is that a big dps loss to use rift instead?
You shouldn’t be hardcasting soulfire, are you using the talent decimation? it’s rng but it should proc often.

If you’re not getting very many decimation procs, it may be from a lack of crit.
i am still lvling on my warlock, just that i noticed i did not get many procs so i was wondering if rift could be a good alternative
I’d stick with SF for now, to get used to the play style. It outshines DRift right now in single target and the proc issue you described should get better once you get some gear rolling on your lock.
