I am new to DH, but I am finding it to be too difficult. There are too many buttons that I have to press. Does anyone have any tips? Can I not use some of my abilities and many people won’t notice in a dungeon group?
Thanks everyone

I was a little overwhelmed at first with the DH, but if you are playing havoc, then there are just a few that actually matter in your main rotation.
Blade dance and chaos strike change their names when you’re in your demon form, but they’re similar. The numbers go up, which is cool.
Hope this helps!
Doesn’t even matter if they notice in M+
Once the keystone timer starts you can play however you want and they can’t do a damn thing about it
Don’t die.
I find that my DPS and mitigation are most efficient if I start with my nose about 1/2” above the Caps Lock button then roll my face from left to right, then vigorously back and forth for a few seconds. While you are doing that, make sure to purse your lips so you’re rapidly pressing the Spacebar as well. These two things are important, and lend to the nuances of this class
To be very honest, I greatly enjoy playing Havoc in the open world or in the odd dungeon. So I’m not complaining that DH are very simple to pick up and play, quite the contrary. Just find a good rhythm and roll with it.
Oh and if you were somehow being serious in the OP, re-read what Wild said.
Edit: Whoa. Just saw that you’re currently only 106. Two quick pieces of advice because you might actually be serious.
Havoc for leveling, not Vengeance. Unless you’re actively tanking, you don’t need Vengeance. This is from a self professed tank lover.
Get at least to level 110 before you make any important decisions about whether you like the class or not. By then you get all of your abilities, and you should have settled into what most of your standard rotation will be.
DH are the ultimate kick-back and relax class. It looks frantic and disjointed, but I could be kicking it with Enya while maintaining good DPS and interrupts. Have fun!
autoattack is enough
I laughed out loud so hard that it gave me a headache. I think it is time to go to sleep.
I tend to agree with your wonderful opinion OP, DH needs some nerfs NOW or it is a slap in the face!
All I can say to this is nerf fire mage.
Yea, we have to many buttons to press, instead 3 buttons to press, why not 2 so it will be more comfortable (sarcasm)
Just because I can map my rotation to an xbox controller doesn’t make it too easy.
Keep everything on cooldown and dump all your fury into annihilation. It feels slow before you get the Furious Gaze azerite traits which increases haste whenever you eye beam, and Eyes of Rage which reduces the cooldown of Eye Beam. We’re a very borrowed power reliant spec that gets a lot faster and better at max level when the main focus becomes stat priority instead of equipping higher ilvl
Is DPS DH actually only a couple buttons? I have nerve pain in my fingers and playing classes with many spells causes me actual pain. If this class / spec is 2-3 buttons for real, I will begin maining it to reduce pain.
At present, yes, because of how our talents are tuned. Check mine for a reference.
This may change drastically at the drop of a hat if we are retuned, though – a change in two talent tiers would effectively double the number of keybinds we need to be effective, and almost all of that would fall into time-sensitive burst windows.
You can also play whatever feels more fun to you, but the talent build I personally use for VDH is
Abyssal Strike
Fallout
Flame Crash
Fracture
Sigil of Chains or Concentrated Signals
Spirit Bomb
Last Resort or Void Reaver
I hope they tweak Dark Slash, Nemesis, and Momentum to have more viability so we have more variety in build options.
Just press your attacks in any order when they are not on cool down.
