Difficulty Below LFR

I think it’s warranted.

I think the key feature should be that after clearing Normal, Heroic or Mythic, you can’t que for this difficulty.

No unique transmogs, no mount drops, no pets, and possibly even no gear (though admittedly, with that last, no one would do it).

Maybe even gear downscaling, so you can’t massively overgear it, then que in to epeen shame everyone else.

Just a way for people who want to do the fights, without abuse, to do the fights, with others of their skill level.

LFR was meant to fill this role, but in reality, people clearly too good for LFR just invade LFR, and their complete intolerance for a wipe makes it not fun for people who actually belong in LFR difficulty.

A challenge means wipes. If you want to do content that’s challenging for you, why shouldn’t I be allowed to do content that’s challenging for me?

Easier than LFR? You mean a raid that we don’t need to be logged on for? Just get 3 Titanforged pieces each morning?..

There’s no reason to incorporate an even easier difficulty than LFR.

LFR is great for casuals, and is an easy transition into Normal.

Tell that to the good players invading LFR and abusing people who mess up until they drop group.

The odd thing is that they don’t go after afkers. They go after the people actually trying.

I say let the good players have LFR. Implement a difficulty below LFR that’s explicitly not for them at all.

Remove gear if that makes you feel better.

You wanna learn to raid and progress? You’re gonna have people talking to you negatively until you have a better understanding of the fight. LFR shouldn’t be meant to baby you, it should be a realistic roadmap to normal + heroic raiding.

Can’t avoid aggravated people. If you que for LFR, you’re queuing to partake in a raid, if you don’t know what you’re doing and continuously do what you’re not supposed to do, someone will set that straight. Still not paying attention? Enjoy my vote kick. Why cater to people that want an easy walkthrough? and also, who’s gonna wanna waste time fighting bosses for no loot? The most thrilling aspect of this game is the loot.

I can see it now. You queue for it and are presented with cutscenes of NPCs killing the boss. When all of them are done, you will be given a few 395 titanforged pieces of loot.

Warfront is basically difficulty below LFR.

This. LFR caliber loot for minimal work.

The trouble is, “RETARD RETARD RETARD QUIT THE GROUP” does not make me learn.

The people spamming that are there because they want to abuse. If they offered anything helpful, they’d be draining their own source of nourishment.

And no, YouTube videos don’t help.

I’m cool with no gear, vastly inferior gear (WQ level maybe?) or at least no possibility of war/titanforge.

Just want to do the fights.

The cool thing is that you don’t have to leave unless kicked, and you’ll get kicked if you refuse to follow mechanics. The gaming community is toxic, as someone that doesn’t want to waste my time wiping on content that’s months old, I can understand why someone gets frustrated with people refusing to do mechanics or underperforming.

I am actually okay with this idea. LFR often gets trolled by someone who just wants to flex. No reason to even be in there, just wants to flex.

…how does a video explaining the fight not help? And have you also tried hitting shift-J and just reading their abilities for a bit so you know what to not walk into?

I doubt it. People who want to flex have better ways to do it than wait in a torturously long queue for a trivial boss that doesn’t drop anything they need, especially anything involving the trash on the ring and center platform.

They’re probably there for an RA stack or purples to disenchant.

It’s not warranted, because fights in LFR are already watered down and any mechanic is made to be a shell of what it was intended to be.

Outside of the rare fights like Ghuun, the only way you wipe on LFR is if a huge amount of people are AFK or outright trolling. Imagine Ghuun on release with no actual raiders in there that know how to do the fight and the entire group filled with the people that’re too good (Or rather lazy) to watch a 3 minute YouTube video summarizing the fight. Forums would be even more litered with people crying for nerfs to the fight.

If they wanted to achieve this, they can do it with LFR. Remove the things that were added as a way to incentivize higher skilled players to do it and they’ll quickly stop queueing.

Easier than LFR? You are kidding right?

Odd boss is annoying and requires some THINKING, but once the minimal mechanics are understood, it is easy.

So Baby ranked raids (step below LFR) should only drop 320 gear (no warforge or titanforge) & no trinkets.
And if you fail, you will be suspended for 72 hours for wasting server power and time.

No. LFR is easy enough as it is.

LFR always starts out like that, I remember wiping on LFR Gul’dan when it was still early during Legion. It just gets face-rollable over time and the later LFR releases get even easier upon release.

Even on LFR you aren’t doing the fights. It’s already as easy as it could possibly be.

How about turning LFR into this, and locking you out once you ran it off 3x / ran normal raids enough.
I don’t even want to go to LFR. Even fresh 120s avoid that place. Xmog being locked behind it is just bad design.

I’m for LFR, but can’t agree with this.

uhm… no. The toughest part about Heroic and Mythic is getting into a group that thinks AOTC = Skill, even though you can tell a ton of people bought the achievement just to get past normal.

The problem is people who think that “not understanding mechanics” automatically equals “refusing to do mechanics”. Not everyone learns the same way or at the same speed. The fact that you have a lot of experience prior to this raid makes a huge difference, while the fact that you already have done it on multiple difficulties says absolutely nothing about people who haven’t done those things.

They need a solo tutorial mode, all lines and arrows and tooltips. Repeat as many times as a player feels the need to. No gear would be involved.
