Is there a fundamental difference in how Charged and Everforged weapons work? I am wanting to craft a weapon but “don’t want to make the wrong choice” given how expensive everything is right now.
There is no functional difference between Charged and Everforged weapons. You will also note that there is no duplication. Everforged has the 1H Str/Agi Sword. Charged has the 2H Str Sword and 1H Int Sword.
Pick the stat and weapon type and there is only one option.
Now with that said, between Axes, Swords, and Maces, there are slight differences in performance depending on what your class and spec makes best use of. But that is not a difference between Charged and Everforged.
Thank you! I was seeing a 2h Str Axe (Everforged Greataxe) and a 2h Str Sword (Charged Claymore). It looks like the Axe does a little bit more damage on the higher end (5,344 - 11,100 damage) but the sword is better in the lower end (6,166 - 10,278 damage).
but if damage ranges are the only thing thats different then that’s okay by me, I wasn’t sure so appreciate you helping out!
Slight is definitely the case. Here are the 2H strength/agi weapons at 599. All have the same stats and speeds. These numbers are the autoattack values.

Charged Claymore | Everforged Greataxe | Charged Halberd | Charged Crusher | |

It makes me wonder if one of them was meant to be named differently. Like, the armor set is “everforged”, so maybe the weapons are supposed to all be “charged”?
