I really didn’t. From removing methods of leveling (that not only ruined their fun, but it also trickled into ruining the usual normal way of leveling,) to now removing gold gained from TBC and below content raids, and plenty of daft decisions in between, the thing that has progressively gotten worse is just how little communication we get.
Take this week’s maintenance, for instance. Normally it’s roughly an hour, but we had it calling for 8 hours, and while it didn’t take up the full time, there was an update patch through the launcher. While an update is generally expected for a longer maintenance, what usually accompanies it is at least a post about what’s being done in said patch. Now, lately they’ve been late in posting these, there’ll be a patch and we’ll get the information later that night, which is what I expected last night. Checked this morning, still nothing and we’re past the 24 hour mark for when the update was available to download, about roughly 20 hours since everything came back up. The silence is deafening, y’all really just don’t seem to care.
I’ve been keeping my two accounts up 95% of the time through buying tokens with gold, and while this means I’m not paying much, it doesn’t mean that Blizzard’s losing money, seeing as the tokens cost about 5 bucks more than a month of sub does, it’s just not me who’s paying it. This expansion I’ve made most of my gold by doing TBC raids, Mag, TK, BT, and also some old ones, AQ and BWL while also having done a couple others for some mog pieces, rep and achievements. This just seems like a witless decision that very likely would’ve seen pushback if it were announced prior, and is honestly the kinda decision that makes me reconsider picking up Midnight, which I’d been planning to do.
At the very least, we just want some basic communication, it really shouldn’t be that hard.
