I completed both Stormwind and Orgrimmar with 8 masks active solo but did not receive the FoS. I did SW last week on my warrior, and Org this week on my Demon Hunter.
Not a bug, just unfortunately a bad explanation. Both 8-mask runs have to be completed by the same character to get this feat.
Source? There’s no such qualification in the FoS text itself so did I miss it posted online?
Blizzard is notoriously bad about being specific about things. But anecdotal evidence as well as a comment on the wowhead page for this feat confirms that I’m correct.
Ahh, so there’s no disagreement on how it behaves presently but those anecdotes don’t suggest that the current behaviour is intended. The challenge in the FoS is doing it solo so it’s illogical to require it be the same character so long as that requirement is met. I see that as a bug but I understand that not everyone may.
That’s fair! I had not looked at it from that perspective but you’re right. I’d say I hope they resolve it quickly but considering we have a 100% dead talent in the hourglass right now that somehow made it past the PTR (the free rez one on the bottom right), I’m not gonna hold my breath haha.
