Didn’t expect to become the father of a newborn dryad this patch. Also didn’t expect to find out they were born from acorns of all things.
Pretty sure the acorn thing is old lore.
She has to call me “Battlelord” now though.
Our very animal gods also rest/rejuvenate/reborn themselves from plant pods.
Vol’jin is in one right now, as far as I know.
Ardenweald has nothing to do with newborn Dryads, though. They aren’t Wild Gods.
Ardenweald is just the ‘winter’ version of the Dream, and Dream is ‘spring’.
Dream is where life is born, Ardenweald is where things ‘die’ but not really, just are reincarnated to be born again within the Dream.
It’s all pretty much the same realm.
" The vast forests of Ardenweald serve the natural aspects of life and death. Its wilds are a sanctuary for the great spirits of nature that seek respite and renewal before awakening to join the cycle anew. [14] Ardenweald and the Emerald Dream are opposite blooms connected to the same tree. If the Dream is the personification of Life in the waxing stage, then Ardenweald is life when it is waning. [15]"
So when squirrels eat acorns they’re just eating unborn dryad babies?
Dryads aren’t necessarily born in the Dream. And the acorns aren’t the same as the Ardenweald seeds for slumbering Wild Gods.
Let’s not just make stuff up based off of assumptions or trying to link things that aren’t necessarily linked.
All I’m saying is they aren’t the only thing ‘born’ from seeds/nuts or whatever.
That’s all I’ve said.
My Dryad daughter calls me Deathlord. Teaching her how to poke purple elves with sharp sticks.
