because faction pride used to be a thing in this game. Imagine not knowing that.
Remember when Blizzard wrote with a straight face a storyline which involved the best and brightest military minds of the Alliance for the raid on Undercity and somehow all of them forgot about the possibility of the Forsaken using Blight?
Kinda like next door to two towns which had been blighted and Gilnaes.
Yet when i did the quest on Horde you literally put on a mask to go walk around in it. Really.
Really
REALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLY
Edit: REALLLLLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY
Asking Blizzard for something is like asking your wish to be granted by the djinn from the movie Wishmaster.
listen broâŚ
Even in real world, there are just to many bad ppl and very few good ppl. according to high majority of bad ppl they get what they want.
Since Alliance are a good folks, Blizzard canât just randomly put any race and say itâs a Alliance. Alliance are supposedly not to spicy to eyes and they are very peacefull type. Vryku are very ragefull race and there builds doesnât support Alliance fantasy part and at the mean time, ANYTHING goes with horde because ugliness has to boundary to them.
IFâŚIF there should be any race that is befitting Alliance then that is
-
new version of wargon [warewolf] race since there is almost no story about what happened to them and how they are doing now, Blizzard should find it much easier to fill the story and themes.
-
New race to be is faun. Very peaceful and calm race but if someone poke them they are the beat with to be feared because of there insanely tough and hard punches.

âBro alliance totally won the war you just have to read it in our two new books where it says the alliance won that will be $14.99 eachâ
I normally donât like these types of complaints, but this is so trueâŚ

Ion the Horde lover
High Elves are both Void Elves and Blood Elves.
Although Vrykul could be an amazing race, I donât see them joining a faction since theyâve are allies to both Horde and Alliance. It could probably be neutral but who knows?
I think Sethrak wouldâve been Horde if they were playable. They are the closet one. And I wouldnât call them trash gnomes, love the Mechagnomes design.
Not saying this on Horde bias. I was an Alliance before and miss it dearly but so it was kind of hard to come up with races for the Alliance. I didnât want Magâhar Orcs. Theyâre cool but it couldâve just been a customization options for Orcs. If anything I feel like the Alliance has the cooler looking Allied Race. My rank goes like this
-
Dark Iron Dwarves
-
Nightborne
-
Mechagnomes
-
Kul Tiran
-
Zandalari (only because Druid forms look cool)
-
Void Elves
-
High Mountain Tauren
-
Vul Pera
-
Lightforged Draenei
-
Magâhar Orcs
(Iâd say the LF Draenei and MG Orcs are tied but I do like the Draenei animation a bit better.)
well duhâŚdo you think you should see all story for $15 a month? /sarcasm
Least they could have done is give a time warper in darkshore to show the win. As basically since it will be 1 of 3 ways to make medallions for the 7th vendorâŚit IS now and always be a crap hole infested with horde.
One hell of a win there. The only clean darkshore is the one that doesnât even exist anymore (via the time warp lady to see classic elf land).
My humble Alliance request: more mounts that arenât horses or gryphons. Please. We⌠we donât need any more.
You left out the part where they kill our heroes unceremoniously to job for the bad guy and make us ask for your help to solve our mean warchief problems.
Faction pride, totally.

I read your list and was shocked because my list was completely opposite of what you wrote
I donât even think DI should be Alliance (I know I know but I still donât like it, just like water striders or Tetldrassil)
But you know what? Its cool because we SHOULDNT be all the same.
Because high elves have no identity that isnât Alliance fanfiction or lore that isnât shared with blood elves, so they made up something with its own of the former and a bit of the latter. Also, they prop up Alleriaâs story, because allied races are mainly added for STORY reasons.
In an expansion about the two factions seeking out allies, the Alliance reuniting with Kul Tiras and getting its people as an allied race makes sense. Them joining forces with another vrykul tribe pulled out of thin air does not.
Also, vrykul are just⌠so overused as a race. Theyâre like reverse pandaren. A lot of people are sick of them after putting up with Odyn and his troubled love life for half of Legion, if not already from fighting them for most of Wrath and a bit of Cata.
Because sethrak on the Alliance was never in the realm of possibility, despite so many people thinking otherwise. The Horde hero helped them and their loa for most of the zone, the Alliance hero interacted with them for <15 minutes, did <10 quests with them, and had no rep associated with them. As I said before, anyone who thought the Alliance was getting either the Devoted or the Faithless without some ridiculous asspull deserves to be disappointed with what they got.
Meanwhile, mechagnomes actually fit the pattern of allied races having an obvious core race counterpart, but of course, people will ignore that and gripe about them incessantly because theyâre gnomes. After Kul Tirans, signs pointed to the Alliance getting a gnome or worgen AR, and gnomes needed a win.
See my point about Kul Tirans. The Horde and the Zandalari both needed allies, so the two uniting wasnât the worst idea in the world.
They already had male and female models that looked like they could be made playable and had a Horde-exclusive rep, so itâs not like making them playable later was a massive undertaking, and the Horde didnât really have anything for a potential undead AR (the sanâlayn from the Alliance war campaign couldnât really fit). Also, some people wanted gilgoblins as a real goblin AR, and they got nothing.
An easy cosmetic fix. Might as well complain that blood elves got gold and later blue eyes, too.
When Horde players asked for Magâhar, they generally asked for the ones from Outland to become barber options for classic orcs, not for the orcs introduced in one of the most maligned expansions to become their own race with lackluster racials like faster mount speed and increased pet health.
Maybe the Alliance shouldnât have set vulpera caravans on fire.
Just a thought.
Maybe the Vulpera shouldnât have given aid to the Allianceâs enemy. Thatâs kind of what happens. Keep in mind this was specifically written to get Vulpera into the Horde.
It was only hard because Blizzard KEPT TAKING ALLIANCE RACES and shoving them onto Horde instead.
This also happened in an episode of The X-Files, where Fox Mulder is dealing with a real djinn, and tries to ask for some things. ![]()
One of the requests is for âworld peaceâ.
![]()
Hey! Who doesnât want an end to all wars, crimes and violent deaths around the world?
The djinn fulfills your wish. And all life on earth disappears, except for the djinn and Mulder. ![]()
And after many stumbles, Mulder manages to undo the request. ![]()
The djinn from The X-Files is unable to use his imagination and therefore cannot perceive the subtle difference between intentions and words, always being very literal.
The one in the movie Wishmaster, is literally malicious, always distorting the desires when what is asked for leaves room for its cheating, because it was not specific enough, giving freedom to corrupt the result of the desire.
But his observation is similar to reality, with the difference that Blizzard has decided what, when or whether or not it will fulfill the desire.
But if you think about it, Alliance has had the better looking races. To me at least. I did give my list about BfA and in Cata I still believe Worgens are much cooler than Goblins to be honest (still like the Goblins just Worgen felt better to me). In BC, to me Draenei, although the player base can still argue on that.
