Did you miss your guilds core raid group?

Mod Edit: Locking this thread down, as it quickly devolved into guild drama, harassment, and trolling.

Are you that casual filler player even though you dont want to be?

Did you miss the boat due to lvling slower and therefor missed a core raiding spot?

Were you told to wait for the “second” raid group to form even though only 42 lvl 60’s log in to raid making the concept of a second group seem light years away?

Did your guildies help eachother out and bond and have a great time prepping eachother for attuning and gearing pre bis only to stop completely once their raid group was formed to their liking leaving everyone else out in the cold and to fend for themselves sometimes even having to pay guildies to help?

Did you accidentaly have a life or commitments instead of no lifing wow?

Were you passed over for another player for a potential raid spot because they are a girl even though you were there first and busted your behind gearing and prepping into pre bis making all your own groups?

Yes to all of the above. WoW classic feels bad to play now. Have never felt so left out and crapped on in WoW ever. I raided retail and there was always spots for all types of players.

WoW classic community has such a mememe attitude and people just dont help others unless its progressing them. What even is a guild? You can get along with ppl but as soon as you say “anyone able to help me do X for my attunement?” all you get is silence even though thr week before they were keen as because it was going to fill the raid group.

Yuck

You make some valid points , and a combination of them is the reason why I have never gotten into the serious raiding scene.

I’m quite happy with what I get to play. I love pugging 5 mans. Any kind of drama is quickly forgotten.

The solution to these woes is to just find a new guild. No point staying in a guild that won’t help you and makes you feel unwanted. There are plenty of guilds out there that still have space for more raiders.

This but theres some situations in which the guild just cant help. For example in my guild a guy was looking for tank for Deadmines but all the tanks were 50+ online during this time and he was raging like crazy cuz nobody helps him. Excuse me but nobody will go and help him for deadmines.

No.

No. We are still gearing our reserves and helping our low levels regularly.

No. I willingly prioritized Classic WoW because I had a goal I wanted to achieve, which is raiding, and am achieving it.

No. Both men and women are treated equally in my raids and if I start noticing a harassing behavior in either direction I will solve it.

Instead of complaining why don’t you put in effort into correcting your problems in Classic? If that’s too much of a task then retail LFR with personal loot is right there.

MC and Ony are perfectly puggable. Tag along with another guild on a run. If it goes well ask to join them.

Find a new guild?

Not every server has enough of a player pool for him to find a guild that will provide him with the opportunity to raid. Moreover, you appear to be effectively acting as if he is somehow at fault for having real life obligations.

He comes off as someone who wants loot handed to him. He’s ignoring the previous contributions of the earlier members of the guild and feels entitled to be carried by them to get geared. If he made some friends and/or a guild and put in some effort all his problems could be solved within a reasonable time frame.

There exists full spectrum raiding guilds, some serious and others extra casual to the point of pugging almost all their members. He’s only holding himself back by not applying himself.

You definitely took a different message away from his post than I did. I took it as just being someone venting because their guild threw them under the bus. Fact is, a lot of guilds are like that. They’ll get their core group cemented and immediately leave everyone else to fend for themselves. We don’t know the actual circumstances - the OP could very well have been putting in plenty of effort this entire time and still gotten passed up.

While I do agree that it’s on the player to go find themselves a new guild, I don’t necessarily think the OP is in the wrong for perceiving the treatment they received from their current guild as some form of slight. Best thing they can do is bail on what sounds like a group of pricks and go find new people.

There’s always pugging to get the rest of their pre-bis so they can find a spot with another guild more easily, but the effectiveness of that tactic will vary by server. Mine, for example, is terrible for it. The population is flat out dying. I obviously don’t know if the OP is in that same boat or not, but if they are, they might need to reroll elsewhere.

its give and take with guilds and its members. If you don’t have a spot in the raid then farm mats for the guild.

A lot of people forget or don’t know how hard it was to get into a good raiding guild in vanilla. You would have to make an account on their sketchy site, post your life story, check back daily to see if anyone had responded, message officers in-game to show that you’re a normal person that can use words, join vent and talk without sounding like a weirdo.

Definitely wasn’t the experience I had back then. The guild I was in didn’t care if you were weird, talkative, mute, or whatever as long as you could play your class optimally (or at least what people thought was optimally back then, in some cases). The only criteria for getting a raid spot was being better than the people competing with you. You could’ve been the worst person in the world and still gotten an invite if you performed.

I guess that’s true. As raid leader I look after my raiders first. There are plenty of players who want to take advantage of the players I’ve been working with for over a month now. I usually see these posts as people with a bunch of demands and ultimatiums not getting their way.

I don’t support mistreating players and if that happened to OP he should move onto greener pastures. I just don’t believe OP is sharing the complete story so I’m skeptical. I also don’t care to be involved in that drama.

well seeing as you are referring to me as the girl in this comment you didnt get passed over i dont have a raid spot i didnt go to raid until after you left the guild once a core raider had to go ! As i see it you dont get a raid spot by nagging and whinging you be patient !

That’s fair. Having been a raid leader in my second guild back in vanilla I can certainly relate, though I do find in hindsight that I probably did unknowingly (or knowingly, given how young I was back then) throw the non-raiders in the guild to the proverbial sharks. At the time I perceived their complaints as just them being whiny or selfish - and I’m sure some of them truly were, but I’d wager just as many had legitimate complaints. Still, definitely agree about staying out of all that drama. May have been tolerable when I was a kid, but that was a very long time ago.

It’s still cancer now. You have to accept that you can’t make everyone happy. It’s werid having “enemies” on a server when at all times my priority was being fair and downing bosses.

How about telling the full story next time buddy?

because people get to 60 quicker then you doesn’t mean they are no lifers.

do you understand how hard it is to find groups on a “Low” pop server?

blaming a female for being passed over a raid spot? do you understand what a casual/sub is?

honestly i feel that guild is better off without a loot goblin like your self.

you sexist scrub.

Dont even need a tank if its a lvl 50-60…

I will run through dungeons with the guild lowbies if they want. Its just rude to invite people to the guild and ignore them.

Playing the victim in 2k19 be like.
Cmon man, you’ve been 60 for 2 days and expect to be guaranteed a raid spot when we have already been raiding for a month.
No one willing to help? Remember that time I went out of the way to invite you to a LBRS run and you made me wait 5 mins just to leave the party for another one while we were heading to the entrance.
Grow up, Get over yourself and stop taking your hate for your family out on the game.
With honest sincerity, good luck with future raiding endeavors.

yeah that was the difference back then between a guild that was about to hand someone a full T2 set because everyone else had what they wanted and a guild where the GM would just take what he wanted while 80% of the raid was still in blues.
