Did they remove the /spit emote again?

Still not seeing the problem.

Imagine feeling like the /spit emote is affecting people irl. If anyone was ever affected that hard to where they call it toxic, it’s obvious they are the ones that need locked into an inpatient hospital for mental evaluation. Get owned. I’ll use /pulse /mourn and /ruffle even more now. LOL can’t wait until I see the names of these pve players when they do their daily casual battleground. I’ll emote you with those and plant the flag in you until you leave the match. It’ll be extremely easy too.

LOL MENTALLY DAMAGED BY /SPIT LOL OWNED. Get help.

How did you manage to type this up and hit ‘reply’ without feeling silly enough to erase it first? Lol

How I feel about this thread…

I can’t tell if he’s trolling or not, have to check the post history to see.

If he’s not, I feel bad for him anybody who gets that upset over an emote in an online game needs to re-evaluate themselves rq.

And… /chicken, /golfclap, /yawn, etc. don’t? Flag of ownership? Tea bag?

You want to remove all of that?

We’re playing a game where you can literally cannibalize people. You have quests to torture people. Want that removed? We murder people. We assassinate people. We kill animals by the millions.

But /spit is too much? Really?

while you guys are up in arms about the /spit emote being removed, a far worse travesty has flown under the radar.

as of 9.1.5 my wendigo woolies outfit xmog is no longer in my collections. don’t you see, emotes and fruit are just to distract us from the real issues. blizzard is pandering to outraged wendigos who claim that the xmog is and i quote verbatim: “offensive! violent !
an IRL silence of the lambs turned reality, with a mix of xenophobic ignorance + wendigo cultural appropriation, not to mention “r-cist” as the term woolies stems from a vile pejorative our community thought was in the distant past, but it’s now we learned it was monetized as a blizzcon perk”.

i could go on but the reddit post from the wendigo community is far too long to repost all of it here, but let’s just say that the real reason blizzcon is being cancelled this year is because of the very serious risk of a large scale wendigo attack, and threats of turning blizzcon attendees skin into outfits to wear as “silly transmogs” to show us how it feels.

i don’t think this is right, we need to stand up to the wendigos, that virtual blizzcon ticket cost like $50 and wendigo genocide is is small price to pay for oversized slipper transmogs on tauren hooves.

this is the real hill to die on, don’t’ let blizzard shill to the wendigos, don’t let the fascist wendigos impede on our our fashion freedoms.

i trust everyone is with me on this.

thank you

Blizzard has allowed multiple skinned animals to appear on gear, and put their scalps on headgear in-game. One of the many examples. LETS CRY ABOUT THE SPIT EMOTE LOL. All the talk about devil incarnates and everything dying, let’s just cry about how hard it is to mentally deal with superior players dominating us with the spit emote.

Yes, I do.

I want nothing in this game that can be used to harass other players. It ruins the experience for everyone.

That’s a moving target. Harassment is defined differently by everyone. Like level 10 trolls on the forum. They shouldn’t be allowed to post on the forum imo.

Its fun and gets people riled up, /spit

Why not look at this from the other end. You fight a team that’s using a known exploit. You know they won’t get banned. What is your only recourse? /spit

It’s simple acknowledgement. They know. You know. They know that you know and /spit confirms it. There are so many things worse in the game then /spit that’s its just laughable. Did we just go through sensitivity training and need to flex?

It is, but I would think most people would define getting laughed at or spit on for playing a class as toxic and harassment.

You’re a toxic poster and take every chance I get to report you for trolling.

What do you mean?

Do you mind elaborating?

Basically this. I only used /spit on Prot Paladins and Blood DKs anyway. I don’t BM people for being better, or worse than me, just for intentionally playing things that make games unfun.

Then get off the internet. If you are so sensitive that being laughed at is harassment, you have other, much bigger issues to deal with.

All these changes were just blizzard (like government/society) pandering to the vocal minority “woke” culture that threatens cancelling anything that disagrees with them. I’d be willing to bet 99% of the WoW community either is against the changes, or didn’t really care one way or the other.

No thanks!

I will just wait for Blizzard to remove it, along with people abusing it to harass others.

It already seems like they agree with this mindset of getting rid of toxic behavior in their game as well, so it is only a matter of time.
