Did they really buff all mobs in the game due to our runes

i didnt notice. but did the mobs all have more hp? howmuch more?

They do have more hp, but i’m not certain of the %.

They definitely do more damage though. Seems like almost any mob with a cast is a considerable threat now

They scaled up the health, and possibly damage of mobs to account for the power increase runes have on the players.

High enough that a Mage cannot hope to pull their old-reliable Blizzard AOE-farming methods without the possibilities of dying.

So this is why 2-hand enhance Shamans feel even weaker than in the vanilla days

Whatever they did, it wasn’t enough - the world is way less dangerous in SoD than standard Era.

And like it is already not very dangerous on era…

My only concern are the runes that triviliaze mana. Namely the Druid one that lets you spam wrath.

I spammed wrath all the way to level 25.

I felt this way at first, but Wrath is basically a wand attack…maybe later on it will be significantly stronger, but right now, it isn’t really stronger than wands.

Yeah, but mages just living flame and ae for aoe pulls now

Sa coming in with a terrible take. Par for the course.

I just specifically said old-reliable blizzard-farming. I never said mages still can’t AOE since they have Living Bombs + living Flame.

I do play a mage, you know?

Sorry I don’t bend to the wishes of retailers. I am here to protect vanilla from retailification.

I don’t play retail. I haven’t played retail since BfA. I came back for SoD. It was tough then, it’s tough now. If you only play in a group or as the FotM class, then I can understand your argument.

I am just stating that player power level increased more than the mobs did.

It would be nice if mobs were stronger as it makes leveling a bit more interesting when one can die.

I feel the opposite for SoD. I wish they’d make us even more OP. For example, giving us talent points starting at level 2. Give us some crazy OP stuff. This is just an experiment anyway and once the phases end, SoD will die and Classic+ will be announced. That’s my guess anyway. :person_shrugging:

Just depends on your class. Go try a rogue without twink items and see what the mobs do to you at level 12. Go try a warrior without twink items and check out what level 20 mobs do when you’re level 20. I came back to try sod and a level 21 gnoll alpha did 90% of my hp. Meanwhile at level 6 I was so strong I ran into the middle of the murloc camp in Elwynn Forest and solo’d 16 mobs that were hyper-spawning on me no big deal by spamming victory rush and thunderclap.

This is the real problem with SoD. Some people think it’s super easy because they got the most OP runes. Some people just get blasted by overtuned mobs because their runes don’t do very much relative to the scaling. If you manage to get to 25 and get some BFD gear on then the game is pretty easy from that point on.

this is what the (retail) people want, I guess :expressionless: to play a caster without worrying about mana. cool.
