Since Tuesday they drop Resonance Crystals and roughly every other orb gives a Valorstone.
My theory is that they went back to how green orbs were in DF and decided that mass farming lower Crests to go up the entire ladder of Crest exchange was an unintended use of the system.

This is the second or third time now you’ve asked this in these threads and for the second or third time now… no, no one was capped on Crests, they give Valorstones now.
Heaven forbid they ask other people if they’re having the same experiences.
No offense to the heavens, but there IS that little search thingy in the corner…
So tonight I’ve got all sort of red caps on currencies–ok, it’s really only two–bloody tokens and Weathered Undermine Crests. Meaning that if I do those world quests I won’t be awarded any for the rest of the weekend. What is that? I don’t remember that being a thing before.
I’m asking here because don’t want to open a new thread. Am I missing something. Is this the new normal.
I understand the rewards might change if my alt has done that WQ, but this red cap text thing is new. Not a fan. Guess I’ll play an alt then.
Eta those currencies are not capped in my inventory. I mean in the wq description they are redded out.
Caps on Crests and Stones have existed since the system was implemented.
They did that to warn you that you’re capped. Prior to that, we either just paid attention to how many we had or we noticed we were over cap when we didn’t get them rewarded and checked our currencies.
The Crest cap is how many you can earn in a week.
Did they go down or something? All I see is season max. 180/180 in red text under the Weathered Undermine Crest info under currencies. The only time I ever saw this last season was for valorstones when I approached the limit.
Does this “seasonal cap” go up per week? I must’ve been leveling alts last season when this was happening. So any gear I get this weekend I can’t upgrade?
Time to go play an alt I guess.

Yep, crappy Crests were FAR too lucrative, so now you have yet another way to waste Valorstones once you’re capped after the second round of Cache Quests are done. Yay!
