Am I missing somethin’? I assume because the patch is around the corner or something? I realized the 3 dailies are now giving 200 gold only or something.

They do this every expansion release, guessing your new to wow and Sl was your first expansion? Emmisaries in Legion and BFA also got nerfed in gold amount, as did mission tables in WoD and legion and BFA. You’ll have new sources of gold with DF thought. They want people in the new content, not the old content.

Yeah, now is usually the time where they do stuff like this in order to discourage people from lingering in old content, they want us in the new expansions content.

Nah I’m not new not sure if since 2006 is new to you, But I’m so lazy to google it so I said why not to chat with some cute fellas in the WoW forums about it. sounds more fun than Google.
I didn’t do these or cared back in Legion or even BFA or whatever, this is the first time I farm them on Alts. that’s why.

They reduced SL gold to 10% of pre 10.0.2 values. Table missions give ~30g instead of ~300g. They moved the gold farm over to prepatch elemental events. In the time it took to do your tables and callings before, you can generate a really similar amount of gold from the invasion tokens. Then, I assume that will be replaced by similarly valuable new world quest and paragon rep style activities in the new zones.

Yea, rough times have befell the residents of the Shadowlands when scores of adventurers have migrated to the Dragon Isles. Tourism and the local economy took a massive hit and the vendors can no longer afford to buy your junk at a lucrative price.

Legion and BFA emmisaries gave insane gold, and they should honestly give these a single name going forward…emmisaries, callings…some new name in DF I think? Its ridiculous.
I guess they just add these kind of quests+gold whenever you unlock World quests+ dailies within the new xpac? or later on in the xpac… I mean the amount of gold from the dailies

yeah not only that - but they nerfed the gold you get from vendor the gear on your level 50s. Gear that used to give you 80g or so now gives you a couple of gold.

World Quests might suffice, but it didn’t seem to me that way in Beta. There will be NO Mission Tables or Daily Callings in DF. Guess the gold was too easy and they decided to not offer that for this new xpac.

I just want Darion to shut up about shadowlands every time i try to drop the damn quest. No i do not want to go into the maw
I miss the days making hundreds of thousands of gold just using my army of alts to do garrison missions. Man that was easy gold.
They want people to buy tokens to buy gear from the auction house now.
I think they are regretting those tokens entirely. People like me don’t give them a cent anymore just pay for the games and game time with gold and they can’t tempt me to buy game time with real $ anymore even with all sorts of goodies.
