It’s been weeks since I played but the ES/SoP/SK combo seems much weaker when I played a BG tonight. Was there some nerf to the burst ?
Blizzard indeed nerfed both Stormkeeper and Surge of Power in PVP in 10.1 (to 1 overload) and compensated that with buff to baseline Lightning Bolt in PVP. However, while buff almost covered the Stormkeeper nerf, it did not cover the SoP nerf, so the combo you mentioned indeed would be nerfed.
Though, that change is in 10.1, not 10.0.7, so maybe not the reason currently. Currently a possible reason is people getting geared and stacking more Versatility.

Plus healers have been buffed for PVP and a good bit of nuking has been reduced over multiple balancing runs.
They’ve made nice progress with reducing spike damage. It’s more about consistent damage in most cases now.

So new SK 30% + 53% baseline increase + 20% new PvP talent comes upto only 103% versus the 115% increase with SK we have now is a nerf. Is my math off ? Plus we now have only 1 overload instead of 2. It’s a big nerf
It is multiplicative, so 153% baseline damage X 1.3 Stormkeeper gives 199% of Lightning Bolt damage instead of current 215% during Stormkeeper. It is a nerf by itself and Surge of Power nerf adds on top of that.
New PVP talent has a drawback of removing all instant cast Lava Burst procs, so I’m not sure whether it should be taken into account.
