I’m a horde warlock player here, and I’m just getting back into retail since Dragonflight launched. I was checking over my transmog outfits and noticed my saved outfits no longer have 1 handed swords on them. When checking the drop down, I no longer have acess to daggers, 1 handed swords, and off-hand items. Only Legion artifacts and staves. I do have a stave equipped currently as getting a good dagger or 1 handed sword and an offhand is not common for locks in my experience. But I do prefer them in my transmogs. Did they make a recent change to the transmog system or am I missing something?
Yeah, if you have a staff equipped you can only transmog it to other staves (or a legion artifact appearance). If you have a dagger, you can only transmog it to other daggers, etc.
For classes that can use swords, maces, and axes they are interchangeable.
However, if you manage to get a wand and offhand, you will be able to mog the wand to a dagger, wand, 1-handed sword, or Legion Artifact.
But as mentioned before, daggers can only be mogged to other daggers or Legion Artifacts.
In the same way, 1-handed swords will only mog to other 1-handed swords or Legion Artifacts.
Please note – the above restrictions apply to Warlocks and Mages. Priests also follow similar restrictions (with the caveat that they use 1-handed Maces instead of 1-handed Swords).
