His spirit was there to thank us before going to the SL to rest. Given how they handle player characters as just not existing except to ourselves as we play, it makes sense.
The Wild Gods first go to the Emerald Dream then go to Ardenweald to be revived yet Ursoc chose to go at a time where his visit would kill him deader than dead.
Ashamane also chose to go at the worst time(same time as Ursoc). Fortunately Mueh’zala decided to throw her into the Maw before she could be drained to death.
Devs hate druids. Their utility cannot be balanced. And besides, Ion is trying to change the game to vanilla mechanics and earlier. So he’s putting druids back into the position of having no choice but to heal if they want to play. The hybrid tax is again a real thing.
They devs needed to kill Ursoc to show guardians how they really feel about that tanking spec. They’re actively trying to turn the game from the biggest MMORPG in the business to a tiny hardcore game with a cult following, a monument to Ion’s hubris.
Yes. I think so. Before Shadowlands, Wild gods and other sentient beings with strong ties to the Emerald Dream would go to the Emerald dream to regenerate when killed (like Cenarius).
Now, apparently, they go to the Emerald Dream for a while and then go to the Shadowlands where they regenerate to go back to the Emeral Dream.
Sigh, to some extent. However, if you want to push it, Ursoc’s third death happened within the Emerald Dream itself. So perhaps only those Wild Gods that are unfortunate to get that level of mutilated need to spend a little time in the re-birthing pods within Ardenweald for more heavy-duty triage. I mean, very few Wild Gods have been on the receiving end of that level of brutality. Especially with his recent two corruptions and deaths, that bear was mangled.
Considering Ara’lon explicitly tells the seed of Ursoc to “dream” I wouldn’t be surprised if the wild gods present in the Emerald dream are just projections while their actual souls regenerate in Ardenweald. Ursoc’s consciousness was in the Emerald Dream up until his soul was unfortunately sacrificed to save Ardenweald. It’s sort of like how the druids of Azeroth don’t physically enter the Emerald Dream when their bodies slumber here on the material plane. In a sense, they’re in two places at once.
The Ardenweald Sprite Dreamweaver made a case that Ysera could be used to ensure Ardenweald’s survival if tied to Ardenweald the same way the Dromans and the Winter Queen are.
