It’s just fortified rather than Tyrannical. Harder mobs, weaker bosses.

Keys are still a few key levels easier than they were last season.

Fortified weeks are harder than tyrannical which makes sense, you’re spending the majority of the time killing trash and the extra difficulty of harder bosses on tyrannical weeks is mostly dealt with by the healer. Also, if everyone was doing decent DPS then I don’t see how mobs were living forever.
Could be the tank was pulling smaller packs and being more cautious.
Could be, but I would assume that the OP would have noticed smaller pulls. I feel like the vast majority of tank routes are extremely similar this season, like I rarely see very big or very small pulls.
I needed 4 gilded crests so joined a pug +7. I was the only person doing the affix, and when it spawned while I was moving to a los point noone else bothered, and the mobs got a full 10 stack of the Xal buff. So that pack just lived and lived, not sure if that was your issue or just Fort week.
There are so many different factors that go into a group’s performance that it’s literally impossible for people on the forums to diagnose why your random key was depleted without being able to watch a vod of it or something.
I’ve had a few groups in the 7-9 range that had very low dps this last week.
