He seems obnoxiously childish in 10.1. Reminiscent of his behaviour in Mists of Pandaria.
Didn’t we have his whole 8.3 grow up arc where he finally learned to stop being a sassy child and to just be a sassy adult with a brain?
Why is a guy, who was able to beat N’Zoth at his own game (supposedly) by clever tactics and tricks, now rushing head first into battle instead of strategizing? Why is he acting like a pouty and angy child as if Sabellian stole a cookie from his cookie jar?
This makes no sense to me. At all.

Hello, I see you posted a thread about a worthless character. Probably because he is like 10 years old, haha!
Thanks for your post and have a great day!

I kinda like him still having his bratty moments.
He’s way better than when he was a kid but he’s still got a few hiccups which I find funny.
Also folks do act different around friends compared to family. Among mortals Wrathion is in sassy adult mode. Among dragons? He’s constantly reminded how young he is still and that’s gotta be very annoying lol
Picture this but with dragons

They did seem to regress him a bit this expac, but maybe his moments in BFA were the exception.

No? I don’t remember that at all.

I think we had another episode of bringing the the McGuffin to the antagonist with the spear.

me n my fellow long time wc fans be like:
…because that’s what he believes is happening? He spent his entire (short) life believing that he was the rightful heir to Neltharion, and then here comes this other guy who has been hiding out on another world to swoop in and take what’s his.

Storywise he feels more like an annoying younger brother. But then again people act differently within different social groups.
Amongst the dragons he seems very young. Sabellian also acts more rash. But in the campaign it says the voices are making them act different in the caverns. Regression comes in stressful times for many people and youth.

As much sense as starring n’zoth in the face doesnt make him crazy, but the fart fire does.
Indeed. Nor do I.
Interesting take.
But more like: “Wrathion spent his entire (short) life believing THERE WERE NO OTHER BLACK DRAGONS IN EXISTENCE and then here comes this other guy WITH THE REST OF HIS DRAGONFLIGHT STILL ALIVE and Wrathion… gets angry? And throws a tantrum?”
And there are some players who actually LIKE this little turd?

Personally, I never liked Wrathion.

I’m starting to see a constant in each expansion. A huge diversion from the the main antagonist.
While we deal with these two bickering over scraps of a broken flight, the real enemy aka evil Chromie and Evil Chromie time appears
That’s right 10.2 will be us sent all over the leveling world at different power levels. Elemental storms appearing in past expansions and we have to team up with the villains to keep the continuity.

Me.
Wrathion had no idea about Sabellian and Black Dragons being in Outland. He was mostly pinging off black dragons on Azeroth. By the time he shows up in BFA he’s had that “Okay I was cringe as heck. No more trying to murder other black dragons. I figured out something” growth. Him actually cringing about his past self when you’re doing some “hey go explore by karazhan for this medicine I got” to go help Ebyssian, altho that’s in a note I believe.

Seems to be the presence of Sabellion brings out the worst in Wrathion, and vice versa. It’s not insane to relapse into more childish behaviors when reunited with family.
That’s why thanksgiving can be such a stressful time of year.

I gotta say for all those “Wrathion is a child!” people on the forums. Its pretty funny he could pull a Steven Universe and react to “you’re acting like a child!” with “…I AM a child. What is your excuse?”

You have to realize the whispers in Zaralek adversely affect each black dragon differently, right?
The whispers amplify the worst in all three. Take for instance the slaying of the Primalists in the beginning quest and both Wrathion AND Sabellion becoming more and more aggressive.
And notice that Wrathion is only childish when it comes to the other black dragons.
Sabellion is more aggressive.
Ebyssian is more reluctant and passive.

I honestly enjoyed the dynamic between the three. It was hokey but kind of endearing to see them acting as a family. I think this patch has some of the better story content on offer for Dragon Flight.
It even has a poop quest.

This is just how brothers behave. If one has something, the other wants it. Acts of aggression towards one another are required by family law.

I thought it was uncle and nephew?
