Did the Nathanos Cinematic get removed?

So I just finished the Nathanos quest, and I was led to believe a cinematic plays once he reaches that low health threshold. But when I did it, he just paused for a bit, and then died.

Was there just not enough time to add this in? Did it get cut or something? I’m legit confused as to what happened.

Do you have an add-on that auto-skips cutscenes? I had to disable Azeroth Auto Pilot after it skipped the 1st cutscene when interacting with Lor’themar

It seems that only some players are seeing it atm from what I am reading on the forums.

Nah, I disabled all of those. The Anduin abduction cinematic plays fine for me, it was just the Nathanos one that didn’t.

I saw it.

By the time it finished, he had respawned and I was taking huge amounts of damage.

Same, cutscene finished and I died. I did see several comments from others in the area that they didn’t get the cutscene so it does sound like it’s only working for some.

Any chance it’s been uploaded to youtube or something? I was kind of looking forward to seeing it.

Yup, I came back after the cinematic just in time to die to him lol

Awesome, thank you

Its there I just had to wait a bit after he got to zero

Also followed the quest chain all the way to Nathanos but after getting him to 10%, the screen goes black for 3 seconds and he’s dead with no cinematic. Aggravating. I’ve done this on three characters now with the same result restarting WoW, etc.

Never saw him die, if he did die, or how he died. Can only make the assumption that the blade at his throat did it.

I will say he is on a fast respawn timer. By the time my toon got out of the cinematic, another group was fighting him.

If you don’t pick up the quest you don’t get that. I couldn’t figure out what people were talking about when I just went there and killed him without the quest.

I did it on a couple of characters, one with the quest and one without.

Didn’t see the cinematic on either fight.

The game skipped it for me as well. I don’t have an addon that skips them and wasn’t dead. Had to watch it on Wowhead.

OK I was getting the same thing for my Alliance toons vs Horde toons. All my Horde toons played the cutscene but none of my Alliance toons are. I have no idea why this is happening. I’m trying it again on another character with all addons disabled. I do have DBM but the option to skip cutscenes is disabled.

Edit: Confirmed 100% this is on Blizzard. I have ZERO none 0 addons enabled and the cutscene once again skipped on me.

GF and I did it side-by-side last night. She got the cinematic and I didn’t. We have the same addons and versions of everything. My screen just paused for a few seconds and nothing.

By the time her cinematic finished she was almost dead from a respawned Nathanos heheh.

I got to watch it from her screen though, so no big loss. For those of you that missed it, just check the link somebody put further up or go to Youtube.

Thats fine for this, but I would really hate to have lore cinematics from the actual expac skipped in the future and have to go rooting through youtube and have to risk spoilers and everything.

Agreed. I didn’t mean to imply I was happy about it.
