Because the drop rate ain’t 30% in Dire Maul and I’m seeing it sold for upwards of 20k in the auction house with lowest price being 15.
Did they forget they screwed up 6 years ago when they nerfed its drop rate?
i got mine on the second reset there is another group where the night elf hunter and bear boss fight is

It’s odd to me that they would force people to farm an old instance just to get an item for a world quest.
Seems more likely they forgot they jacked its drop rate.
Got mine on the fourth or fifth darter in Dire Maul.
after 3 hours of killing different enemies, I finally got one from my last trip through Dire Maul. I do not think it’s 30% even in DM like people think.
Helps when you go inside DireMaul West, and kill any of the 4 inside. Then again, some folks are just not that familiar with the game. Like slow riding a hipogryph instead of using sky riding. Don’t forget the last ingredient is ALL the way up past the Argent Tournament.

One of anniversary event “secrets”. It’s part of a list of old ingredients for a goblin doing some cooking.
( I guess my RNG forgot they were supposed to be nearly impossible; I had one drop on my first try )

these are not hard to get at all, i just farmed around 14 in 10 runs from dire maul west before the “too many instances” lock. Just run in, kill the 2-4 Eldreth Darters, zone out, reset, almost always get at least 1 per reset.
It took me about 10 minutes of farming sprite darters in Dire Maul west. WowHead is your friend!
