I was farming fadeleaf in SM just now; I zone into Armory, harvest, zone out, zone into Library, harvest, and reset. After doing this twice, I am instance locked - and I haven’t played for hours, and this is my first time today I’ve done this.
Did something change with the number of instances allowed? Or Scarlet Monastery specifically…?
How many hours?
There are only 2 restrictions on instances, afaik:
You lost track and hit you 30 instance limit for 24 hours. You can’t ride it like you do the hourly lockouts, you’ll need to wait until whenever it is that you started that first instance before doing another.
I don’t normally make a habit of instance farming - I’m reasonably sure I’m nowhere close to a 30 instance cap. I have a weakaura that tracks the number of instances I’ve been in recently, and it only lists the two SM instances and one DM north trib run I was in for buffs earlier, on another character. I was in 2 or 3 instances yesterday, again on different characters though.
Again, you clearly lost track of what you did in the last 24 hours.
Were you resetting after leaving each instance? EG: Coming out of Library and resetting, then heading into the next one and after coming out resetting again.
Scarlet Monestary is one giant instance which you can scoop up all 4 before resetting. You probably know this, so either you were zoning out in the mind and just resetting out of habit, or were so proficient in harvesting you reached the 5 per hour lockout.
I don’t believe that is the case, otherwise I wouldn’t be asking here. Do you think the 30 instance cap applies to the entirety of a Battle.net account? I have 5 WoW accounts under one battle.net account, and might be reaching the cap that way.
Nah its individual. I do the 6 sets of 5 loops of arms / lib farm on 4 characters every day. And the characters are across two accounts. Im sure you just hit the 30 cap.
Yeah I guess… maybe it says more about my mistrust of blizzard to implement something without telling folks than anything else.

I always get Fadeleaf at Dustwallow, I have literally never seen it spawn in SM.
It spawns in the coutyard in arms and library every time
Get the Nova Instance Tracker addon if you’re doing dungeon farming.
I can confirm that Scarlet Monestary hasn’t changed and you did something wrong, I’m doing the Fadeleaf+Grave Moss farm right now.
Get Nova Instance Tracker, it will be beneficial to you in the future when all instance CD’s are reset

it’s not luck…it’s a fixed node spawn, lol.
The Fadeleaf? I have seen various other herbs spawn in various places but not fadeleaf. Guess I am missing it.
Its literally guaranteed spawn in sm lib and sm arm.
Me being dumb then I thought herbs were only in GY/Cath, track herbs must of been off when I ran the others the first time.
Blizzards response to running into the 24 hour instance cap: ‘‘Don’t you guys have two level 60’s?’’. (Don’t you guys have phones diablo reference) 
Actual botters: Dang, I gotta edit my program so my 150 characters alternate what they are doing to farm gold now. Brb in 5 hours after I rewrite a few lines of code.
