A genuinely wonderful person and main tank got his second binding and completed his Thunderfury, making it a guild first completion since we started farming MC back in September.
(We have some warriors that occasionally log in taking breaks from SoM or TBC that have one, but this was our regular MT who’s been with us since the guild was originally formed after Classic TBC’s launch, and then resubbed after it was reforged in August under new leadership with a new vision and direction.)
It was our first Baron binding. We’ve had one Garr binding drop previously (went to a diff tank).
Killing Prince Thunderaan was a first time experience for a few of our guildies, and we made sure no one logged out and missed it.
The guy was recently promoted to an officer assist alongside 2 other members who were super proactive in helping acquire soak sets for the soak team to down Princess Huhuran in AQ40 - where we one shot her with only 1 death for our 2nd pull ever only after grinding out the soak sets for 3 weeks and not wasting time with needless wipes after an initial poke.
So yes it was very exciting and we’re all very happy! Hurray!
I’ve been MMO’n since 1993 and while I’ve run into many talented tanks and wonderful individuals, it is a rare thing to have them both packaged into the same humble individual.
Are you telling me that not all tanks aren’t wonderful, humble individuals? I can’t even…
It takes so much humility to be a tank. Sure, we need prio on gear, but that is only because we want to make the raid easier for everyone else. The raid is lucky that we keep showing up week after week. The job of a tank is humility by definition. My mom tells me how wonderful and humble I am every day and she’s not a liar.
Hey Dwahf, yer parents must be very proud with your beard that doesn’t reach below your nipples or go above your adams apple. What is that a ‘dwarven collar’?
