because i wouldnt be suprised if the hotfix wouldnt work becasue the change the drop from mekatorque to jaina in lfr since poeple would leave

Are you asking if GMOD has dropped for anyone on LFR yet?

I’m honestly surprised they’re including GMOD in the droplist for lfr at all tbh.

Yep. There was actually a thread about it a couple hours ago. Someone got it off LFR their first time.

meanwhile I’ve killed mekkatorque ~7 times between heroic and normal and it still hasn’t dropped, feelsbadman

There’s already the original Jaina mount that’s mythic only

I’m more confused as to why they felt the need to move GMOD to Jaina instead of just leaving it on Mek

yeah, not actually that upset, just annoyed at how bad my luck is.

and I assume they moved it to jaina so people who were only there for the mount wouldn’t leave right after mekka

Oh seven times is nothing. Mounts are around 1% drop rates usually. Give it at least ten attempts
maybe eleven for sure. You’ll get it easy. :wink:

The mount drops from Jaina in LFR. I was planning to only run LFR, kill Mekka, and leave but they dashed my hopes.

At least I was lucky enough to get the hyena and blood-spider-thing from zandalar while just doing the war campaign on my alt, both of which look better than GMOD imo

Oh I hear ya. There’s a friend I regularly play with who has amazing luck, so while he has every RNG mount under the sun dropping for him the best I usually get is some rando pet (cool, just not mount levels of cool)

I mean, isn’t that just part of it though? In LFR and pugs (as much as I disagree with it) it’s common for people to drop out after bosses they need are downed (whether they’re chasing specific gear or only needed to down specific bosses because of partially completed previous runs etc.). And that really shouldn’t be a problem in the more organised runs (like guild runs)

The mount was clearly designed for Mek, it feels a bit odd having it drop from Jaina now

this I’m not so sure about, why does mekkatorque drop gallywix’s mount?

my guess is originally mekkatorque was supposed to be a fight like grong where the horde fight grong, and the alliance fight a undead version, but in this case it would be mekkatorque and gallywix.

I always felt the same about Mimiron’s Head dropping from Yogg.

You wouldn’t believe the amount of times I killed Mimiron before realising he wasn’t even the one who dropped it

One difference is the mount will encourage people who don’t normally run LFR to do so, and if all those extra people are ditching right after Mekkatorque that could be a problem.

Me and a guildmate did that for 2 years with the Ashes of Al’ar, which we could never get to drop from
Al’ar. :confused:
