I support the return of Ragnaros. Not only is he an iconic villain of the Warcraft franchise, he’s an iconic WoW villain. He’s not from Warcraft 3, he’s pretty much the original Biggest and Baddest of vanilla WoW. Yeah, there was Nefarion, but there’s nothing too distinct about a dragon. Ragnaros was unique. He had STYLE.
Also, I’d love to see a return of Kel’thuzad. Last I remember seeing him in SL, he was being dragged off by Jailer minions for failing his mission, but that doesn’t mean he’s gone forever. He’s a LICH after all, coming back from certain death is kind of their thing. Best of all, he’s always been remarkably loyal to the Lich King. So if Kel does come back, you can bet he’d be scheming up a way to bring the Lich King back, too, Burger King crown or not.
I feel they’ve technically put in a small hook or two to allow obliviated souls to reform in a couple of spots of Shadowlands’ lore. I don’t think anyone likes how Kel’Thuzad was done in Shadowlands, that’s for sure.
I think they even made destroying Kel’Thuzad for once and for all be more about justice for Sylvanas and her redemption story then anything else, since Sylvanas was practically the main character of Shadowlands being that they were trying to salvage what they could of the character all expansion long.

Smolderon got binned in service of Fyrakk who was like a one and half patch lifespan character himself. Bonus silly points for Fyrakk just landing right in front of us to siphon Smolderon’s essence and us not saying or doing anything.
I hoped the DF story would show improvement but basically the only defense anyone has left for it is, “THE STORY WAS ALWAYS BAD IN WOW”. Which isn’t a defense at all.
