Did not receive Defender of the Timeways achievement

Hello, I completed Dawn of the Infinites on Mythic difficulty last night, and no one in my group received the Feat of Strength or the title for completing it. As far as I am aware, Season 2 is still active, and the FoS should still be active.

Has anyone else experienced this issue that may know what to do. I submitted a ticket and received an automated response. No information on fan sites, etc.

Yup! Here. We did a guild run of it last night and two of us who did not have the FOS Achieve for it yet, did not receive it. Have opened a couple tickets with Blizzard too only to be told “hey check the forums haha” as if that would help. Like you said Season 2 is still on-going, so if there was something we missed regarding it, Blizzard should have said something to make it known.

Agreed; there was never any mention of being unable to obtain the achievement and title affiliated with the dungeon. If I had known it was time gated I would have made sure to complete the dungeon sooner.

The description of the achievement clearly states “before the release of the next tier of content” and has said so since the day the achieve was implemented

That being said, the season has not ended and the new tier of content has not released so I don’t understand why the achievement is not crediting to people this week. That’s surely some sort of oversight and I genuinely hope it gets fixed and/or Blizz just changes the achieve to be available permanently to make up for it

(inb4 someone chimes in about getting stuff without putting in the work/wanting titles/cheevs for free)
I full cleared the dungeon on Mythic and got my cheev/title the week it came out  FOMO is cringe, just leave it in

Correct, I assume this is probably the source of the issue I’m running into. I’m guessing Blizzard either intentionally ended the qualifying period a week early without letting anyone know, or more likely it was an unintentional change on their part.

It seems like no one had reported a similar issue prior to the last day or so, so it’s likely a cutoff problem.

I also have this same issue. I completed the dungeon yesterday and did not get the FoS either. Submitted a ticket and just got a “we’re too busy here’s an automated response” message. I also submitted it as a bug, hope it gets fixed.

Since Turbulent Timeways ended on Tuesday, my assumption is they originally planned to launch 10.2 on 10/31 (which would have precipitated ending season 2 and starting the one-week no-season) but then they rightly thought “launching a patch the week of BlizzCon would be dumb”. Sounds like this achievement’s expiration is an oversight linked to that.

My group went to attempt this last night - and discovered the hourglasses weren’t there… so would appear it’s potentially been removed?
Submitted a bug report, but not sure what’s going on. We’re pretty miffed that it appears the achievement may no longer be obtainable a week before new patch - we thought we still had this week to complete!

We also noticed the bosses have been massively nerfed - so potentially they brought the 10.2 changes forward a week for this dungeon?

Just realised I’m referring to a different thing - but potentially related - being the Hardmode Put that thing back where it came from achievement…

I’m afraid this might be the case. We had a rough time on Morchie on Sunday, then got her on the first pull on Tuesday. I haven’t done the dungeon a bunch before (one previous real push before 10.1.7 that didn’t quite get Dieos) so I assumed our strat just clicked on Tuesday. If they nerfed it that makes sense, but I wish there had been notification.

Also did not get the achievement and won’t be able to do it again before S2. :frowning:

The same thing happened to me as well. Yesterday I completed the Dawn of the Infinite dungeon on mythic difficulty for the first time and also did not receive the FoS achievement or the title.

I can see in my /raidinfo tab that all of the bosses have been defeated, and I also looted the Aspect’s Shadowflame Crest Fragments on all the bosses after they were killed.

I also submitted a bug report, so hopefully there can be some clarification. 10.2 does come out soon, and I would like to know if this was a bug and can be fixed or if the achievement and title are no longer obtainable.

Same thing happened to me last night. Dungeon lockout shows all bosses are defeated for mythic DotI, but I didn’t get the achievement.

Finally got a real response, they’re aware of the issue but said they have not been authorized to issue the achievement yet. So I feel like were just out of luck because they messed up, hopefully they can fix it soon.

Just completed this on 11/13/23. Prior to this had the achievement 1/2 completed (group disbanded) then forgot about the achievement being time gated until this week. So finished during 10.2, but before “release of the next raid tier”. I am submitting a ticket and will respond back here after i get a response.

Same issue here. Also submitted a ticket, no reply yet.

Honestly at this point they should cut their losses and leave it as a permanently obtainable cheev or make the original cheev exclusive, bu make it so “Put that thing back where it came from…” will now also give the title since this was entirely their oversight

My ticket was answered with an automated reply telling me to look at forums / wowhead. Found https://us.battle.net/support/en/article/340003 on the bug report forums…
