He is likely experiencing connection issues. 
This, servers have been absolutely abysmal the last week. Have had several games where someone DC’s or is just running in place, skipping all around the arena, etc. Pretty frustrating to go 3/3 and gain 0pts b/c someone on your team dc’d the first game, then came back for games 2->6, effectively wasting 20+ mins of your life (plus the 20~ min of queue time if you’re a DPS)
When they opened up server transfers in SoD, 4/5 people in my m+ run dc’d and bricked the key. But I guess blizzard is a small indie company, so this is to be expected

Also potentially semi related but I’ve been able to mount while being hit. Like, a shadow priest is blasting me mid mount cast and I still mount up. 
This one guy ressurected at the graveyard in wsg, I pressed chains on him, then applied diseases and he mounts up a second later.
I am hitting the pvp dummy and mounting up while attacking.

Dude pressed all those buttons yesterday and his moms 56k dial up connection sent all the packets through at once bc it took 24 hours to upload them to Elon.
Had a shuffle game yesterday with some oceanic enh shaman who was basically untouchable because he was skipping around 15-20yd at a time. It was pretty interesting getting sheared behind a pillar by him across the map but at the end of the cast was teleported right on top of me basically…
Fun times, reminded me of the halo 2/3 days where people would pull host, ddos themselves and then kill the entire team while they were lagged out
