Did MM deserve that 5% nerf?

What are your thoughts comparing the nerf to other classes currently in pvp?

Honestly…after seeing what other kind of damage classes can do. I don’t think MM deserved the Aim Shot nerf either.

It needed adjusted but the nerfs it had received were way too much.

100%. Not just MM though, there were a few classes that had specs wildly above the others for DPS/PVP, and imo that is never good. It just makes people leave one spec for the dominant spec - not because they want to, but because the others ultimately get excluded for content.

Yeah thats why i figured id ask for peoples thoughts. Crazy what some other classes can do and be immune to mostly everything. lol

That dps loss should’ve been made up somewhere else… possibly steady shot or arcane shot.

I just wish Aimed Shot would apply Mortal Wound again, like it did in WotLK. MM is presented as petless hunter, but half the utility is barred behind using pets.

I’m not sure where I land on whether we deserved a nerf. But the Aimed Shot nerf was entirely mis-designed. In an effort to reign in MM, whose dominant strength atm is burst during Wild Spirits, they reduced Aimed and Arcane. The latter doesn’t affect AoE at all, which is where MM is most dominant, and the two combined actually nerfed Kyrian MM more than Night Fae MM, because Resonating Arrow’s strength is directly based on the damage of our abilities, while Wild Spirits is based purely on those abilities occurring.

yeah i agree. I also find it odd that we have a 3 minute CD on a very crappy mobility spell. Like alot of classes are constantly in my face and no matter how hard i kite they seem to be in my face almost all the time.

Delusional

It’s not delusional. Damage fell off quick between early 60 and now.
Everyone is running around with 30K+ Health now and damage has fallen off quite a bit with Aimed Shot. There’s plenty of other abilities that do more damage than Aimed Shot.

My only complaint was the ability to do it out of Camo.

MM in PvP didn’t need the whole 15% nerf on Aimed shot (-10% pvp aura + -5%), the 5% nerf effected PvE single target more than anything, which is where MM was average.

Back to PvP, Ret paladins, monks, and warriors need a nerf, and it’s coming, I can’t wait

Such insight!

Yes, it did.

Just be lucky it was a small nerf and not a larger one like we typically see where a spec gets squashed.

Yeah, but not to the base kit. just night fae
They need to tone down night fae, buff venthyr/necrolord, and buff bm/sv base damage

And TBH, WS is really fine in single target. The only ST fights MM is absolutely excelling on is Sludgefist, because the every other pillar vulnerability lines up with Wild Spirits.

WS is mostly an issue in AoE, and that could easily be fixed by making WS deal reduced damage to secondary targets (either a fixed multiplier, or square root scaling past the first target).

Note this is a PVP question, not PVE.

the double tap nerf was justified, think they went a little to far with the aimed nerfs though as we had 5% nerf on top of another 10%. Basically boomies right now are doing what we were doing, stealth insta-gibbing people. We are still fairly strong though.
