I remember Varian using magic to talk to some elf who was looking for Anduin so we must have magic pay phones/phones somewhere to communicate over long distances. Or letters sent through the mail are actually delivered in a blink of an eye.
I’ve actually never had battery issues, but I also don’t download garbage or use the thing nonstop.

Almost all mid-high/high end phones these days are so beyond what you realistically need that you should be buying them based off what your actual needs are, not what generation they are. If the 14 works for you because it offers better battery life, and you like the screen on it and what have you, then you’re good to go. Most updates are so marginal now you can go 4-5 generations and be fine for the most part.
Personally, I’d have waited for the fission powered iPhone 42.
A year later we ascend into conscious beings and just think to each other.
I’d say you’re fine. I think a major new feature (fundamentally major, like folding) is highly unlikely this year, so in reality you’re probably only going to miss a slightly upgraded camera and a new chip that won’t meaningfully change anything.
I think the only worthwhile change is that it looks like they’re going to go ahead and just make the switch to USB-C global… finally.
I finally broke down and spent a LOT of money on a high end phone.
An update less than a month later did the same thing.
had to keep it on a charger or it would die just idling in about an hour or so.
Returned it for a new one…same thing…the update was evidently already on the phone when I got it…dying as fast as I could charge it.
A LOT of money crapped away into the toilet.
Lesson learned.
Buy sub $200 phones so I dont have to weep like a baby when they trash it with an update.
And then someone asks what toppings people prefer on their pizza leading to the collapse of the consciousness as people start ignoring each other.
Go in to make sure you’re turning off all unnecessary background apps. Bluetooth drains your battery pretty significantly. I keep mine on because my porch lights are connected solely by bluetooth (thanks philips…)
I did.
They looked at the first and second one and determined it was the update that caused the problem.
I got rid of the phone pretty quick so I dont know if they ever actually fixed it or not.
Well at least you know… As far as I know my battery lasts about forty eight hours if I don’t use it. I use it the most at work in it drains 10% per hr for non blutooth/video.
I charge mine religiously… usually a eighty percent.
The serious answer is you should have just gotten a battery replacement on the 12
right now we have about $150 phones with nearly 6" screens that are doing great. They got an update maybe a year ago that was running the battery down, but fixed it pretty quick with another update.
The only down side to these phones is some weird thing where the colors from photos we take are rendered a bit odd on the phone screen, but look great when we send them over to the PC.
I can live with that, though, lol
Yeah man. You made the right choice. But if you feel that its the wrong call, you can fix it by sending me the 14 and buying the 15. Heck, buy the 15, send that to me too and wait on the 16!
You screwed up by investing in iPhones to begin with. They’re notorious for purposely borking their older models to push customers to upgrade.
Nah, I’m too in love with the purple
You need to limit your phone usage in inappropriate areas to conserve battery usage and life.

Why? So the the same thing happens again a month later?
