I was under the impression that if I swapped Covenants to one I had already completed the campaign with an alt on, I could skip the campaign. However, it appears all I get it the three souldbinds. Is that true? Would I have to do the entire campaign again?

Originally it was supposed to be like that, then at the last minute blizz changed it to this garbage. I was looking forward to not having to do the storyline on all these toons

Ahh okay. I thought that is how it was. I am wondering why they undid it though? I spent a bunch of time doing the campaigns on alts ahead of time. Feels like a waste now. 
Yeah, I was all excited for the swapping, until I did it. You start with nothing. From lvl 80 renown, fully unlocked everything and upgraded to 1 renown and nothing unlocked.
That is a crap ton of grinding I was hoping to not have to do. So back to Ven for me lol.
You can buy an item that boosts your renown to 40

It takes maybe an hour and a half to grind the 9.0 covenant campaign

Also you don’t have to do the covenant campaign. One of the reasons you had to before was because of the soulbinds, but now that you gets those with the skip, it’s no longer a hard requirement.
If you don’t want to do the covenant campaign, then don’t…
