No it’s not, it is a completely valid way to play the game.
right…thats why I was doing as I explained in the OP. Throttling my DPS so I could play with the group since this was a new alt I was enjoying and Id gotten a little bored soloing dungeons and wanted to run with a team for a bit.
buy yeah, usually when I see low level twinks in classic runs theyre not holding back. Sometimes it seems to go good and everyone sticks around and we might run a couple more dungeons with that group…which is what I thought was going to be the case in that run I mentioned in the OP, but evidently not.
I just misread the group I think…not a huge deal. Just curious what the consensus here might be on stuff like this. Certainly not gonna do it again.
personally I consider ganking lowbies over and over to be griefing, but evidently blizzard doesnt feel the same lol…so definitely some differences of opinion on things like this
Honestly if they weren’t directly referencing or saying anything about your “twinking”, I’d just not think too much about it. Only they know what was upsetting them.
If it really bothers you so much, you could try asking your next party how fast they want the run to go.
This topic is a bit of a nothing burger. Just play how you want OP. Randoms in your group can go kick rocks.
In my opinion- pay them no heed.
I’m crap on my Brewmaster but when I play my 80 BDK during timewalking, I’ve had people leave for the same reason.
If your damage, especially when you’re not fully twinked or level 80 out is upsetting other people’s gameplay then they need to step up.
I’m just trying to imagine “You know, we were thinking of stopping halfway in the dungeon to smell the roses and contemplate reality, yeah let’s go slow!”
It never happens
It never hurt anyone to ask. Some tanks like to go at their own pace and some of them might speak up.
What?
I think you mean cheesing.
As in twinking is always cheesing the content.
Because you can’t grief the content and they are talking about PvE, not PvP.

Obviously that group didn’t want a carry.
This tracks as some people are odd in that they like to actually play the game that they are paying for instead of letting other players do it for them while they just follow behind.
Who knew?

but we’ve all seen both…the ones where they dont mind the carry because theyre speed running thru it anyway. .maybe just leveling alts and want it done quick…and the ones where everyone wants to enjoy the participation. Sometimes its not 100% easy to read the group unless someone speaks up.
I mean, they were pulling more than they could handle,

But there was a run yesterday where it seemed like they just wanted to speed run through the entire thing. I mean the tank was pulling way more than he could handle

Well after about a minute and a half I noticed that the tank and one of the DPS had left the group
Good riddance, you’re not at fault for folks who don’t know their own limits or who get upset when they personally fail. Not just on content either, if it’s a learning run, that should be clear in the group chat/posted LFG.
Clearly the tank and DPS expected everyone else to just cater to them and it wasn’t that sort of run if nobody else left.
It’s not griefing in any way. You not liking something doesn’t make it against any rule.
I’d be more irritated if someone was holding back their potential from the group personally. I don’t need anyone pandering me while I’m trying to level.
yeah, that crossed my mind too.
Another run the tank asks if we wanted to do one of the bosses since it wasnt required, but Im looking for gear drops for mogs and crap…thats why Im there, so I wanted to do it.
The team obviously wanted to pass it by, but since we were like right there anyway I just zipped over and cleared it all quick.
After that I noticed they seemed to act a little different the rest of the run, they knew I was holding back and I kinda think that might have ruined the fun of the run and the possibility of dying or whatever. I felt a bit bad the rest of the dungeon. But I really didnt want to pass over maybe getting something.
Its hilarious that ive been playing this game for going on 8 yaers and Im still getting classic transmogs. Ive gotten about a dozen of them in the last three days lol.
HOW many mogs are in classic? lol
Another liolang thread.
point being?

Game has been out 20 years. I don’t even know if the people who have been here from the start have every transmog.

I was looking thru the collections just on leather. Yeah, still a lot out there for pretty much every slot for classic era mogs. Nice to know theres still a lot left to hunt for
If you’re not going to specifically say what the chat said then it didn’t happen and you’re just here wasting people’s time reading a post that very well did not add any level of depth to the conversation. This is not your personal WoW journal go make a blog.
probably helps to actually READ the thread lol

not nasty but it literally said rude or something like that

So I was running classic dungeons playing on my level 61 character. I don’t know if anyone has done this but if you level lock at 61 you can actually solo classic dungeons pretty easily.
If you leave chormie timeline they all will be level 30 at most in said dungeon. Don’t need to be 61 to solo them lol.
