I tried out Anniversary and quickly left because of the overpopulation. Resubbed the other day and thought I’d go back and play on the standard HC realms. Still overpopulated. Then I went over to my standard era realm to try and play for a bit. Almost 40 people in Stranglethorn Vale alone. Did all realms get merged to be higher pop, or is this just an influx of players because of the anniversary? Cancelled my sub again because it doesn’t look like I’m going to be able to play any time soon. There’s a difference between a realm being populated and being unable to complete quests because of player numbers.
Yes, all servers are now merged into one. You dont have time to play, so bye.

No, they wouldn’t be merged. I’m not sure what the populations on the main Era clusters look like but I do suspect people will be filtering back there in the coming months. I’m surprised there would be that many people in STV but hey, who knows.
With that said, if you want a low-pop Era server to play on, check out Grobbulus. There’s a small community playing there, search for posts by Jarl-Grobbulus for more information

Era is off life support now and in the general ward. They said she was dead, but this old bird has been through much much worse. Whitemane is truly unwilling to die.
Im able to get all lockouts across 3 toons every week zg to naxx. Still no Av pops yet but its only a matter of time. In 10 months Whitemane will be busier than ever.

Ear has picked up steam again over the last couple weeks, this happens often enough when people reach cap and geared they typically re-roll fresh. Some may be players from Anniversary that want a different experience.
As a community, we should see if we can self-organize for some AV fun. I admit to not being as present in PvP as I’d like to be and while there’s been a few WSG pops lately, I truly love AV and feel it’s the best WoW BG experience.
I did some googling and it looks like the next AV weekend starts on the 31st. Maybe I’ll try posting a separate thread to see if we can get some games going, just for the fun of it. It might be slim because I think Anniversary hasn’t waned yet, but it would be cool if we could even get a handful of games going
