I have to admit I am pretty upset at the fact that Elegon is a BM only pet and my reasoning for being upset may be a bit petty, but It is ultimately because I do not enjoy the BM spec at all, I am a Marksman/Survival Hunter and the fact that I have been wanting a Celestial/Astral pet to go with my character’s in game RP theme of being an astronomer sucks pretty hard.
I do not mind not having the bonus of spirit beasts, but I would absolutely and quite simply just want the opportunity to have my pet have the skin of Elegon.
I hope someway somehow blizzard can find a way to allow it be available for all hunters. I know there may be plenty of peeps here who may simply say “Just go BM” or “Its class flavor” or anything of the sort to defend it, but I have tried BM on multiple occasions and I simply do not like the spec and I would really hate to not have the opportunity to enjoy the one pet I have always wanted for my hunter.
Just get yourself a Heavenly Blue Cloud Serpent. It looks awesome. A key part of Beast Mastery is that it gets some pets others don’t get. How big a disappointment is it that you only have nine different kinds of tamable cloud serpents (so far)?
I do plan to get the heavenly blue cloud serpent as the best and closest thing I can obtain for sure.
Though its still a little bit disappointed that I cannot get the one with the actual star design.
I don’t wanna get salty, but honestly… It’s the way it has been working for the long run, and I’m personally fine with that.
Let me say, I’m a BM hunter AND IM SWITCHING TO MM this expansion;
So I’d probably won’t have access to Elegon, one of my favorite mounts (got it on my 2nd round of MV) (yeah, let me presume that, to somehow deal with the fact that I still cannot manage to get Invincible)
But lorewise, BM hunters are… Well Beast Masters! So imo it makes quite a lot of sense that they get access to exotic, prettier, and even ‘better in the numbers’ pets!
Guess we’ll have to deal with that!
I’d also like to point out that it’s the first Spirit Beast since Legion (with those manasabers & moose ) & to my knowledge the only one in the SL thus far despite it you know, having it make sense to find spirit beasts in the literal land of the dead but

unfortunately you might wait a while to get that serpent, the only tameable model is Rei lun which everyone will be killing constantly to try and get the mount.
Every tameable pet with a special skin like that has always been a Spirit Beast. Just look at Arcturis, Ghost Crawler or Ban’thalos. It would be nice to use those pets with other specs, but highly unlikely.
But I’m also glad it’s a spirit beast because the rest of the cloud serpents are classified as Cunning.
