Did druid healing change?

I mained a druid healer in nyalotha and did pretty good, went to do normal necrotic wake on my 54 druid and i couldnt keep up with the massive dips the tank took in health. I dont know if they’ve changed, play style change or I just suck more, could be that.

Lots of new people in different roles, and I’m not sure if it’s like this at the beginning of every xpac or hit but no one interrupting, not following mechanics (1st and 2nd boss have adds as a priority), and everyone standing in bad.

I’ve benched my healer for now until I see things otherwise lol

Not foundationally. You lost a bunch of borrowed power, mastery, and haste… And all the tanks are squishy again.

The only fundamental change is that Swiftmend reverted back to the way is was… some time ago. Specifically, you can just press it whenever you feel like it - there has to be a HOT rolling on the target already, and then Swiftmend consumes the HOT. So therefore, it takes some pre-planning to use as a panic button. I’ve also noticed that it seems to heal for considerably less than it used to.

Other than that, everything else is pretty much the same.

It’s really annoying when people don’t interrupt the necrotic spell in necrotic wake. Get to watch all your heals be absorbed and they’re like “why you no heal ?”

I would read some guides, a quick look at your spec and it’s not optimal at all for dungeons, to keep the tank up you really need Photosynthesis.

This guy has some nice videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ki0v9pjkFOI

There are some scaling issues right now with healing that make it very difficult to heal characters that are level 60 when you are <60 yourself.

On top of that, it’s a brand new xpac - people are still leaning mechanics, dungeon layouts and how their classes work. There’s going to be a learning curve regardless of class
