I recently updated my addons/blockers so I don’t know lol.
Did you install any addon like premade group filter?
yeah, i have LFGSpamFilter enabled, but I can usually still see all the WTS groups in the filter list. also, there still aren’t any WTS groups showing w/ the addon disabled.

They’re posting under Heroic dungeons now, without the WTS tag. It’s quite interesting.
But, level 60s/70s can still post M+ groups, and websites are still allowed in descriptions, so I’m not sure what precisely caused the change. Maybe WTS is shadowbanned from LFG? Hopefully.
Possibly. They also might have made some other changes, like banning new accounts from posting custom text in there.

a blue hinted last week or so, that they had something in the works.
…of course, the “usual crowd” poo-poo’d the source, and insisted that nothing would be done until the next major patch.
Regardless, it doesn’t matter what Blizz do, these companies will always find a way.
At least they’re out of peoples faces… for now.

People hate ads. People also hate greedy people. People also hate cheaters. Combine these all together and you got a really nasty combo. Really glad Blizzard is cracking down on this stuff. It was really getting out of hand.

Oh, they’re back again. Well, it was nice while it lasted.
Still, only 5-10 listings instead of 30+. That’s an improvement.

The WTS spam is starting to come back.
I just checked now, the numbers are far less than previously; about 3-4 in dungeons and 3 in raids. I’d say they did a whole wave of account closures and perhaps some blocking where websites are mentioned. I saw one trying to beat whatever filters they have typing it like W T S, lots of extra spaces. As long as people keep reporting them, if Blizz is slapping down more real money ads, they will catch those as well.
