Did anyone test the newly buffed Holy Priest talent Divine Image on PTR patch 10.07?

The patch notes say:

The PTR notes state:

  • Divine Image now triggers off all Holy Word casts instead of having a chance to trigger.
  • Divine Image duration reduced to 9 seconds (was 15 seconds).
  • The Divine Image buff on the Priest now has a stack count representing the number of active Divine Images.
  • The Divine Image buff on the Priest has been added to the Personal Resource Display.

Someone on the priest forums gave some results but they weren’t sure if it could be crowd controlled or easily killed like a shadow priest psyfiend.

This is what his results were on the PTR:

On AoE spells like CoH, PoH, Divine Star, Sanctify, Halo, etc. the DI casts a heal equal to 50% of your PoH healing. For example my PoH heals for 11107 on the PTR so the DI was doing 5553 extra healing per target (5 targets).

On single target heals like Flash Heal, Heal, and Serenity it was casting a heal equal to about 33% of your usual Flash Heal.

On all single target damage spells it was casting a 60% damage smite which was 6172 damage. So each time you cast SWP, Smite, and Holy Fire it hit that hard per image.

Also, the Naaru bonus triggers as soon as you activate the DI so if you cast any Holy Word it does its bonus right after.

Overall, Divine Image is probably going to be one of the best end tree talents for Holy in all forms of content.

DI is better than Lightweaver for single-target healing because LW is 1 FH = 1 Heal for an additional +40% healing whereas DI is a 33% single target and 50% AOE healing bonus to ALL your heals for the duration. Also, you can have multiple DIs out at a time if you’re using Apotheosis or chaining Holy Words.

DI is going to be better than Divine Word for raid healing because DW is only useful if the raid is stacked. You can maintain a decent uptime on DI probably 33% or higher.

DI for damage is probably going to be a 4-10k overall dps upgrade depending on uptime. I top out atm around 22-24k and I could easily push 28-30k with it.

Overall DI w/ Miracle Worker is probably going to be the wombo combo next patch.

Lastly, I have no clue if it can be CC’d or killed in pvp.

Unless it can heal while you’re in cc idk

IDK about the divine image change, didn’t get to test it. I do know that lightwell in 10.0.5 does bonkers healing but it’s 20yd range with 2min CD. If your dps can run back to it, prob could keep them alive through a cc chain.

Yea, I just asked on the PTR forums if anyone can explain how it works in PvP.

Does it wait for us to cast before it casts? Or do we just need to cast something like smite once and the divine image will repeat that cast again and again while we are CC’d?

But I’m more interested in if it can be killed and CC’d easily by other players.

won’t be worth the trades imo

Thought maybe there would be some tech where you take it and pump out images with a sanctify, serenity and a chastise into a triple holy fire with burning vehemence or whatever and get some crazy damage out but I’m not entirely sure how it works to your early points

The divine image is a non targetable entity, it cannot be targeted by anything or hit by anything. Always has been.

It cannot be targeted or CC’d.

Lightweaver has near 100% uptime while Naarus are tied to Holy Word uptime and you have to give up 2 currently mandatory talents to get it as well as losing 50% bonus healing to your next Heal/Flash Heal after you use a Holy Word spell (Miracle Worker is mandatory with Divine Image) so it’s really up in the air what direction we’re going to be going next patch.

This is a shoe in, the damage with a stack of them up has always been at DPS specialization levels.

It cannot.

Most builds are not taking Sanctify atm because you have to path through Prayer of Healing which I cannot stress enough has been one of the absolute worst abilities in PvP for nearly 2 decades and has been fully dead since Legion.

Still, 2-4 images at once can pack a wallop of a punch in healing and damage.
