Did anyone else notice how Blizzard just took Night Elves from the Alliance and gave them to the Horde?

So basically nothing in terms of actual gameplay has changed?

Like the Horde didn’t lose UC.

Its like Tijuana now. Nothing good happens there.

No because it’s stuck in early legion phase and the Nightborne haven’t betrayed the Alliance at that point yet.

Well we dont have any proof for ashenvale though, not even a hint.

But it’s also not looking good so

Eh just found it weird that they had to destroy alliance night elves like that for seemingly no reason and then ignore them after.

I think the WoW Devs have basically “Dothrakied” the Night Elves back into existence after basically killing them all off
 so they aren’t really gone.

“Yes, we know their entire race got genocided, their home completely destroyed
the closest thing to a second home was never rebuilt from Cata anyway
but we realize we wrote ourselves into a corner here, so despite all that happening, only a few died and they’re still super relevant and everywhere!”

From what I can find, Astrannar is still standing and the Alliance controls it again. Granted Ashenvale became heavily contested territory, but lore-wise it seems to be Alliance dominated again.

We took back all the ground we lost in the pre-patch and then some thanks to the Horde not having a stronghold in Lordaeron anymore.

Clearly the solution is to burn down Suramar.

Undead lost their capital city and starter zone as well.

Horde lost arathi highlands

did you miss the part where she’s one of the bad guys in shadowlands? we had a whole damn civil war about it! (that many of us loyalists are still not happy about)

This is a joke right? that half finished (and half is being generous) piece of tripe can HARDLY be called “getting the night elves”.

you mean that city that isn’t ACTUALLY a hub? no portals anywhere else, and despite “reclaiming” it, the majority of the city is still hostile to horde.

you mean exactly like the undead have nothing anymore, not even a proper leader
 oh wait
they put an alliance ‘lightforged undead’ in charge of them now to make them all goodie goodei.

clearly because blizz hates night elves specifically, thats why they gave them a demi-god as leader and a good chunk of the next expansion is focused on them right? HORDE BIAS!!!

What does this have to do with ANY of your prior ‘complaints’

Its a pretty reasonable assumption, though.

Perhaps, but you can’t say she’s dead before it has actually happened. Especially when the story is literally about figuring out how to save her.

No we are not giving it back. We need the trees.

If Horde are going to lose Nightborne, Alliance should lose their High Elves.

We never reclaimed Ashenvale though, specifically only darkshore so it’s safe to assume the horde still has ashenvale.

Why would the Horde want to give Ashenvale back when they wanted to exterminste the Night Elves?

Horde take it back via campaign missions.

Horrible place to put it, but yea.

Lol at anyone thinking Horde actually won anything by gaining second rated with barely any customization Nightborne as our so called Horde Night Elves. :joy: :joy: :joy:

I’d prefer to think of it as the majority of Night Elves weren’t living in Teldrassil considering it was at most about 10 years old.

There’s no way they would all randomly just decide to flock there.

Did anyone else notice how Blizzard just took Blood Elves from the Horde and gave them to the Alliance?

It wasn’t even a fair trade to begin with, Nightborne look nothing like Night Elves and we also haven’t gotten to take anything from them like Void Elves have from us so.

So yea that proves it then that Ashenvale is lore wise still a Horde zone.

Oh I totally agree. I’m just using OPs logic to make a point.

The ending of BfA has been all about reconciliation between the two factions. It is reasonable to assume that night elf territory has been restored - if not, it will certainly be retaken.

If you specifically wait for Blizzard to state that something happens, you’ll either be in limbo for years, or end up like the worgen who are still waiting for a cata plot point to be resolved.

Well but apparently the Night Elves didn’t retake it in BfA,and now there’s peace and the Horde wouldn’t give it back either since they want to have the Night Elves annihilated to badly.
