Did anyone actually level balance from 1-60?

A lot of people have strong opinions about it, I’m curious if anybody did it themselves and can give me their overall thoughts about it.

Lol what does that have anything to do with what he’s asking haha.

I leveled full balance from 1-44 as full caster and then went feral for the rest of it because I was having a harder time getting tanks. Completely viable. My rotation would be nuke until melee range, then whack with my staff and moonfire on tick. Strength and spirit gear will be your bread and butter gear while leveling. When you run out of mana go cat until you regened and switch back.

Don’t you mean from 10 to 60?

I said full balance to mean not putting talents into other trees.

People leveled as balanced in true vanilla. But no in PServers.

I haven’t tried it before, but, in theory, you could starfire, wrath until melee range, improved entangling roots, get some distance, repeat until dead
but only when you’re outdoors

I’ve done it…

Not that big of a deal… much better than leveling a holy priest 1-60… which I’ve done lol.

I did it in early TBC. It’s not pleasant. I had to go back to low level zones and quest to get me ahead of some of the zones.

Yeh I did it when I first leveled back in vanilla. Wasn’t ideal but I’ll do it again for classic .

The very first character I ever made leveled from 1-60 as Balance.

Dont do it.

Its doable, but the funny thing is balance doesnt really buff your casting dps by a significant margin until 30-40 and then your gear to support that playstyle doesnt come online until 50+. Basically, even if you spec balance, its more efficient to play with a feral playstyle for questing/dungeoning (dps) until the mid to late 50s.

Thats the main reason people just spec feral because your basically playing the same thing, you just kill things a bit quicker in cat/bear.

I did… its slower than feral for sure but it was fun… also made it easy to heal if i needed to.

I did it in late TBC and while it’s not a 1:1 experience alot of it will hold true in classic.
-You’re going to need to be shifting alot, typically start in caster, Moonfire, Insect swarm, rejuve shift to cat to finish up, rinse and repeat and drink when appropriate.
-Roots is VERY strong while leveling and they take significant nuke damage to break, abuse this to thin out multi pulls.
-It does feel abit weak till you get boomkin form but this is true of every spec.
-Don’t be afraid to abuse bear form if things are abit rough and make sure to abuse caster form when dropping other forms for heals.
-Hibernate is your friend.use it,love it.

I found balance to be a solid leveling spec with little to no downtime aswell as the early travel form making it a breeze. It’s alittle annoying having to keep 2 weapons (feral and caster) upto date but nothing that’s unbearable.

Asmongold’s mom did

I got about halfway on a pserver and I’m looking forward to doing in on classic without any of that sun wrath nonsense. Rested exp ftw.

Theanks BB.

Fam?

Insect swarm is in the resto tree for classic. TBC was when they moved it to balance.

I remembered, But dot’s are a strong source of damage while leveling so it would be worth going down the 11 pt’s to get it.
