Did all 3 specs get nerfed in SL?

Every spec feels like it got massive nerfs. Prot and Fury feels like night and day compared to BFA, Arms feels about the same. Does any well geared players have input on how the class feels with decent gear? Leveling right now feels pretty bad compared to BFA.

Itemization and level scaling, as you level it is going to feel worse and worse due to your stats getting lower. Pay attention to that and its completely normal.

For example, if you had 18% haste, as you level you’ll slowly see it go down 1-2% each level, eventually you will reach about 8-9% haste by level 60.

This is where you start to grind for gear again and once you hit about item level 150-160, your haste level might get to that 15% mark, things will begin to feel a bit more comfortable but you can’t compare wariors now to BFA where warriors had azerite traits/Heart of essence, and a bunch of other items that made them hit like trucks and play so much differntly.

New expansion usually equates to new feeling for warriors until you gear up and get your covenant/conduit/legendaries abilities worked out.

Even then, it wont feel like BFA, so don’t expect it to.

Prot so far feels fine to me, I have moments of feeling rage starved but figure that’ll fix itself with some more haste. But damage wise I often compete with or do more than a lot of dps in most my heroic dungeons.

Fury feels fun, no downtime for them really, but their damage does feel severely lacking.

Arms is on the opposite of fury, it feels like it can chunk some enemies, but half the time you’re so rage starved it gets boring sitting there waiting for auto attacks to get rage for you after you’ve expended charge/CS

Thanks guys for the input. I’m not sure what it is with Fury but I feel alot squisher. Did they remove some healing from it or something? I am always on the verge of dying to 2-3 mobs unless I take Impending Victory.
I have no idea how I’m going to do Torghast when the times comes…lol

SMF however is awesome, I can finally play the punching warrior I always wanted.

They reduce the bloodthirst heal from 4% to 3% for fury i belived,

Even geared with m0, stuff still hit hard, but when we get more and more gear with raid/m+/rated pvp and prob more tuning, it shouldnt really be a issue anymore. Also, when you finaly hit Torghast you will have a good time with all the powerup you get in there, making it quite fun and engaging, compare the repetition of visions

You say this, which makes me wonder what part of BFA you’re referring to. 8.1 BoD? Seems a tad specific, but in that case, you are correct.

The biggest change for fury was a slight reduction in haste. Which I promise you cannot feel.

I’m currently playing warrior and pala tank. With the paladin I never had a problem when I reached ilvl necessary for random heroics, I still took dmg but the healer could keep up.

With my warrior tank I had some problems with survival and threat managment, but once I got some gear for heroics (specially with haste), I sometimes see the healer mana bar barely moving, my survivavility is a lot better and I can output more dps than my pala tank.

You shouldn’t.

Bloodthrist healing was nerfed slightly but you also have to consider the fact that you dont have all the azerite armor traits and essences that provided small healing or absorbs.

Taken together fury feels a lot squishy then it was but it will find its place against once you get optimized gear and are progressed in the new systems.

For M+ you should and in BFA prot warrior was the tank with the highest DPS of all.

You mean, irrelevant details to shadowlands?

I think that’s what you mean.

No, that’s what you don’t seem to understand. You should not.

You remove borrowed power from any class and it will appear nerfed. The fact that the Artifact necklace gave a threat multiplier is also another minor nerf for not wearing it .

So far fury is fun but does really poor damage.

Arms is fun too but has moments of no action due to being rage starved, but when you have it it feels great. The damage is better than fury but not by much.

I havent tried prot yet. Doing that this weekend.

I think war needs some slight adjustments to bring them in line with other classes as far as numbers go, but I think the itemization will fix the other problems.

You mean he should. Prot pallies are doing more damage than prot warriors.

I think you should read that, one more time. Slowly.

Prot warrior can put out some fairly ok aoe burst with things like spear to back it up…

But no, it’s not at all in the realm of Prot pal

Why are you telling me this.

Honestly with the charge to indomitable, prot feels WAY better now then it ever did, aside from still having ignore pain shoved down our face, it feel really good having that 1% heal.

…what does this even mean.

Ignore pain is a poopy mechanic i dont enjoy and never enjoyed ever since its inception as an ability and it being forced into the core rotation is rather annoying.

Its a personal gripe.
