Did a banwave go out for gold buying

A guildie just got a 2 week ban for gold buying (he did it a month ago), seems strange to me as it’s a known fact a large majority of the classic tbc pop buys or has bought gold. What gives?

Is it? How is it known?

I’ve seen a couple paladins get banned for “botting” for doing strat runs again. So there probably was and it caught a few legit players again

Where I’m from we call those cheaters . That’s what gives.

No one is crying silly lol. He asked a question. Man your reading comprehension is on point :joy::joy::joy:

Estimated 215k still playing Classic. Roughly 110k would have to be buying gold to represent a majority. Seems statistically unlikely.

Should have been permanent.

Sorry, I haven’t been playing tbc as much as classic, I’m primarily social at the moment. But back in classic, it seemed everyone was buying gold because it wasn’t worth it to farm for consumes and such.

He is implying that it is not a big deal since he said it is “known” that everyone buys. Maybe you should graduate the 4th grade before commenting on reading comprehension

I didn’t get banned though. I’m just asking if there was a banwave. As other guildie have woken up, there are now 3 of them banned so far.

But understanding was that gold buying was not frowned upon in classic

You will get the yeethammer and stripped of your gold now glhf

Sir I do not even have a max level in tbc

If Blizzard doesn’t want people to trade gold then they need to put tokens in. Bullying the playerbase just causes more unsubs.

If there are really 215k playing, Blizzard can’t afford to lose ONE of those subs. Get real. This game will completely collapse if they did what you support. WOW used to have 14million active subs for one game. Now you are talking about 215k? BWAHAHAHAHAHAHA. They are a public company that is currently collapsing due to poor game design, worse customer support and various lawsuits. Blizzard couldn’t survive losing 10% of its current active sub base. That is the main reason there are so many bugs, so few fixes, and even less contact. Be happy if WOW doesn’t completely fold soon.

I agree token should be in at this point. Until then though no crying from buyers who willingly break the rules

Perma ban all gold buyers and sellers.

Too bad they’ll never do it…

Because a large population would be removed from the game and it’d be even more dead than it already is

They must add the WoW token

They aren’t making that much off Classic Era servers—even if they did lose every sub they had in regards to Classic, they wouldn’t even flinch in terms of revenue.
