Some may agree and some may disagree but they really need to be overhauled regardless of the reason or position any of us take.
its been weeks now since patch 10.2 dropped and every single time ive gone into a raid (on my alts), ive seen people get 3 or 4 items in just a few runs. there are instances, where players are getting their 4 set in one go, while others who have been repeatedly grinded away for tier, have not gotten a single set item. players (including myself) have grinded for hours on end, trying to get tier and other items we need to boost our ilvl to progress through these raids, only to be gimped by the dice. it doesnt happen only once a week, or twice a week but it happens repeatedly enough that it makes players not want to even bother gearing alts or even doing this raid at all.
As bad as shadowlands was, at least the loot drops were random enough for the vast majority of us that we would all get something after a week or two. even season 1 and 2 allowed for a better chance at obtaining gear from rolls, while season three has become problematic. perhaps the problem was there and maybe I was lucky, but id like to think that on so many of my alts, id be unlucky on a few of them, but all of them this season? something doesnt add up with how the dice are.
then we have higher ilvl players coming in and farming epics that other players need, because you guys thought it was a genius idea to have legendry’s use crystals that can only be obtained from enchanters. now this isnt their fault for having to do that, its just poor management/planning with pushing that legendary out.
not only is a problem for obtaining gear via roll but it also causes a problem with queuing, if people are getting 3 or 4 teir or items in a single run, it makes it less likely to have more raids in premades and to increase the que times in lfr.
so I think there needs to be some sorta bad luck system, that stacks up to a certain point (over x time period) that allows them to increase their chances of winning a dice roll. Im not sure if this would be possible or whatever but something needs to be done to address this problem. now I know some will say " oh well they addressed it with vaults" but I say, did they? think about it for a moment, a player winning +3 items, they end up getting a 4th from the vault. so who is the system really helping?
