Wowpedia usually has all the dialogue in the articles for each quest.
Iāve been having the same issue as well, for a couple of weeks now. Just tested a quest that malfunctioned by abandoning it, disabling all addons, and restarting it - same bug. Itās sporadic too - some quests are fine, but most are missing part of the dialogue. Iāve done a bug report twice. Itās beyond disappointing to see that this has been reported since August and thereās been no reply on the matter. Really ruins the questing experience, and makes me worry that the same thing will be occurring in Dragonflightā¦
Same issue. Itās been weeks and weeks of this.
Weāre heading to 3 months of this bug persisting. Unbelievable such a major bug remains unaddressed.
I was really excited - returning to retail, leveling up a new character to get ready for the new expansion.
And trying to catch up on the story is just
Heartbreaking, honestly.
I just want to be able to experience the story and play the game properlyā¦
Well, I just processed my refund for Dragonflight. I bought the epic bla bla bla package. At least they gave me my money back. Iāll check back occasionally to check and see if this issue is ever fixed, but honestly iām going to try classic out. seems like people actually play that version. Kudos to Blizzard for refunding my purchase. At least they seem to be good at that.
Myself and several friends are also having this issue. Dialogue will not happen randomly for one or all of us, making it hard to tell if we are done with a quest or not. It happens literally all over the game, mostly noticed in Shadowlands, it has definitely happened to me in BfA zones and Legion zones.
Itās not rare either, maybe 1 out of 4 dialogues donāt work for me.
Same here, i saw these bugs several times in either Shadowland and BfA.
Seriously Blizzard, are you considering that story quests are not important enough to fix thes bugs?
Just posting here to confirm that I have been having this issue for what seems like months. Is this happening in the DF beta?
It will be extremely concerning if nothing if fixed with the prepatch.
I just started encountering this last night after a few weeks of returning. It absolutely sucks. Doing the 9.1 campaign right now to catch up on story before the expansion hits next month and the silence is jarring.
Oh man this really lasted all the way up until the day before pre-patch
If this carries forward, who knows, maybe Dragonflight and on itās intended that our characters have gone from commander to champion to maw walker to having some lapses in our memory when NPCs talk to or around us?
Iām already half-expecting the bug to somehow still persist on Retail despite not happening on test servers. If it does continue to persist after patch release, hopefully they donāt wait until 10.0.2 or even 10.1 or later to fix it.
It will be disastrous for Blizzard if this bug persists during DF launch. The entire population of WoW will notice right off the bat and there will be a huge general complaint about it. This bug already have a big enough traction to it, imagine if it persists on the xpac launch.
It is on Blizzardās best interest to fix it NOW.
I think with SL going to Chromie time and the fact that dialogue was working in PTR, it has to be fixed today, right? Let me know guys, I will be at work at reset.
Is it fixed guys? I unsubbed because of this and donāt want to sub again unless itās confirmed to be fixed.
Well I can tell you I refunded Dragonflight and Iāll never be going back to the game. I canāt believe they still havenāt even bothered to fix this
They really didnāt fix it?
Holy sh*t, canāt believe they didnāt bother fixing it when it was fixed in plain sight on PTR for them. Wellā¦letās just wait the storm once they release DragonFlight with this bug in it. Blizzard will deserve every single rage thrown at them.
Can someone else confirm that itās still not fixed?
How would people know? It is my understanding that maintenance has been delayed again.
