Diablo. Any one trying it out?

Oh, yeah. Well, I guess pessimism also taints the way I painted the picture.

It is not all blizzard’s fault. The country is a mess and our currency’s value is very low right now. Games are usually cheaper here than in the US when you convert directly. It is still more expensive when you consider our purchasing power.

Even taking that in consideration, I would still say it is too expensive, by comparing it to other games being released. Of course, that is just my opinion.

Wasn’t Diablo 3 nearly the same as two?!?!?

Now we have another one.

Hmm.

Extended warranty how can I fail

WC3R had almost no budget and resources allocated to it.

With D2R they went all out on it to not make the same mistake. We got 27 minutes of remastered cinematics to modern blizzard standards to boot.

I tried it out 20 years ago… Not paying to play a game I played 2 decades ago. lol

TRYING IT OUT?!
You kidding me!

I am already level 12 trapsin (cuz sorcs are lame), but stopped cuz server issues >.<
Having a blast!

:man_facepalming:
It’s like seeing BMW fail at their new car and assuming Mercedes will too.
WR3R was developed internally by Blizzard-blizzard.
D2R was developed by another studio (Yes, they merged later), but none of them were Blizzard employed staff.

And to top it all off, both of these projects were developed ENTIRELY DIFFERENTLY.
The only thing they have in common is that its older IP’s.

I am going to have to reflect deep inside on going full druid or necro.

It is like you only quoted part of what I said and then went off on that.

Edit: Also does an outside studio doing it suddenly free them from Activision’s demands, budgets, or timeframe? Does it mean it won’t be abandoned if not well received?

I’ll be buying it on my ps5. Diablo is so much better on a controller as a chill couch game then on a pc spam clicking everything.

Now the real question:

Should I level a sorcerer or necro? I have a thing for casters/magic and they’re my preference. I like both though. My bone necro back in the day was pretty fun.

I’ll probably go with a sorcerer though. Will D2:R have ladder resets? One of the things I enjoy about D3 now is I get a few weeks out of it, before gearing up and growing bored(…tbh I don’t find chasing better versions of what I’m already wearing to be that fun. I like the acquiring the gear to begin with though). And I repeat that with each season.

If they do that, I can bounce around and go all sorcerer this time. Necro next kind of thing.

I was tempted but ultimately I’m not gonna pay 50+ $ CDN to replay a game I played when it originally came out. I’m also tired of the click to move gameplay and all that junk in arpgs. I’m burnt out on that kinda gameplay.

Yes but not for a little while, I’m starting with diablo 1 again (my favorite) then I’ll play Diablo 2 ressurected. Then I’ll play Diablo 3 (didn’t finish that one just doesn’t feel as dark as the first 2)

Can’t afford it right now and don’t really want to give the company more money.

I’ll likely pick it up when it goes on sale though for me and my boyfriend. D2 was my childhood game, so this was one of the few remasters I was hyped for.
Just a shame it came out when it did.

I am. I mostly play offline. I don’t like sweatyness.

Its amazing. And if you play offline you can carry on your local character directly from d2

The aesthetics are brighter, and the bombast weighs down the horror.

The themes, however, are much darker.

why would i pay for a graphical update to a game i already own and played and beat multiple times over a decade ago?

Never. It should be renamed:

Diablo 2: Ressurected and censored.

Wrong. “better graphics” doesn’t mean censoring half the game and giving the amazon a man’s face to play along with today’s agendas.
