Diablo 4 took ESO’s transmog idea and its wonderful! Basically, you go to a closet and put together a transmog in both games, and apply it to your character. Any and all new armor pieces you equip will change to the appearance of your transmog in closet. You don’t have to pay more gold for a new drop every time something drops.

you’re right, blizzard could spend a lot of time and resources implementing this feature in wow…
or, hear me out, blizzard could just remove gold costs for transmog?

EQ2 has a variant of this. Basically you have a separate gear tab where you put the gear you want to show, separately from what you actually want to wear. Would make way more sense for someone like me who is just fixing my heritage after each upgrade.
I could be wrong but I’m fairly certain the purpose of the cost is to make mogging function as a gold sink, not just to spite people.

a gold sink should be something specific that costs a lot of gold for people who have too much gold.
not make normal people spend more on every day things…
being a kyrian tank with mikonikos soulbind, i could choose “regenerating materials”… everytime i cast a heal or received a heal, i had a chance for my armor’s durability to be restored…
i basically never had to pay repair bills for all of shadowlands and it actually felt great. why they would remove that, i dont know. making us go back to paying repairs feels bad.
D4 has transmog?

I dobro like D3 after they promised we would save Leah in a future expansion then never did.
no this is how they do gold sinks - they never considered things like the auction house mount a gold sink because taking gold out of the hands of people who can make gold doesn’t nothing.

That has nothing to do with its transmog system thought, thats a whole different problem. And I had no such thing happen.
Google “d4 frying video cards” and see.
Its prob only happening with very outdated weak pcs. Modern pcs are handling the game just fine.
nVidia just did an update to their drivers especially for D4 - I wonder if those people never bothered to update. seems like only one card as well.
