I’m getting my pudding pop pushed in holy smokes.
If a WW/War/Ret breathes around me I get mesothelioma irl

ima have to agree you guys die before i even get to use TV
pause.
DH could be good if blizzard listened to community feedback and nerfed the overtuned classes.

I do, every game I win with less is because I played better.
Or because the hunt crit, either way I have to time those crits.
notice the sarcastic text
It takes time but try to make sure you are getting the most value you can out of using Blur and darkness (after the auto proc legendary). Also not a bad idea to play Rain from Above against most double melee comps, just be careful of enhance since they run ascendence for range damage.
Ditch havoc, Play vengeance. Great survivability, great damage, great mobility. They have it all.
I think objectively havoc is pretty squish in general
My soft bits get mashed vs equal level melee
Ive played against DH’s at 2500+ that make it impossible to kill them.
It just comes down to understanding how to use your kit.
Spring-boarding off this post, not really targeted but just using the points brought up since they show up often.
iLevel doesn’t change much anything. A DH melts in a stun regardless, it’s defensives got utterly nerfed to the point it has to kite 24/7. You’re much better off just bringing a Warrior who does everything but better.
Right and wrong. Darkest Hour is only worth using against RMP. Chaos Theory is nice for killing healers but that isn’t DH’s issue, it’s just not being able to survive pressure. Collective Anguish is better.
And when you finally do connect you stir up their insides good yah?
To compare I don’t think the Prot leggo is as much a necessity as Darkness is for DH
What melee do you think DH could stand toe to toe with right now
Sounds like a feel bad moment if you get booped on the cast when you’re relying on the heal
? but gear is irrelevant in this meta, just git gud amirite
It keeps healing even if you get interrupted as the Fel Devastation keeps ticking. The interrupt only stops the Eye Beam. If you’re running Demonic as you should, you’ll be in meta + soul-rending + fel devastation. It usually tops you off.
ilvl is literally everything, what fantasy land do you live in?
also… all classes melt in stuns.
iLevel doesn’t suddenly make DH not squishy and “all classes melt in stuns” implies each class is equal when that isn’t the case. Darkness and Blur are garbage defensives.
Yea they do but why pretend stuns treat every spec the same.
When specs like MW/DH are weak they are leather classes with close to no passive defensives
It shifts the whole dynamic/pacing of a match because they don’t have passive damage mitigation (Dstance, focused will, triune), breaks (icebound, licheborne, blink), Pets (axe toss, pulverize, harden skin, seduce, wild protector, roar of sac) or short cd trades to pre-empt with (feint, ignore pain), increased healing taken (celestial guardian)
So yea all classes melt in stuns but not at the same boiling point
Thats why DH also has access to huge mobility, 2 stuns, imprison, netherwalk, rain from above. It’s a learn to play issue as well. DH isn’t the faceroll class it was in legion/bfa, dont expect it to be so forgiving. You have to actually learn how to play the class now.
By your example WW must be an awful spec then too right?
Ret is bad then since they have a long cd bubble. Rets bad since they dont do 20k the entire arena. Unforch u dont have to be good at it to do 10k dps in arena tho
Yeah definately, unfortunately DH is missing too much to be viable this xpac. Needs a rework, partial revert of the leech/dodge/blur nerfs, some sort of external heal or DR that can be used while stunned, something major… they got overpruned.
