DH Zekvir Tier 2?

Stop equating needing to do both spells. This is left of bell curve mentality and holding you back.

Look at your entire toolkit and gain a deeper understanding of how to overcome the abilities. Blizzard doesn’t WANT you having your interrupt for every mechanic. That just leads to monkey hear DBM, monkey press interrupt button.

Your interrupt should 100% always be aimed at the heal and ONLY if you are 100% sure the heal wont be up in time should you use it on spittle. You remove spittle by veng retreating which I dunno if it takes a talent or is baseline, but removes snares hence the ability.

Stop going down the rabbit hole of thinking the boss needs “fixed” when it isn’t broken for your class/spec. You need to get better at utilizing your entire toolkit.

Ok then he needs to be buffed 500% or just learn your abilities/class.

It’s just another example of “movement = difficulty” but it also expects classes with low mobility to nuke down an egg every 30 seconds or so while dodging frequent mechanics with poor visibility.

The web attack and the ground cone are both kind of hard to gauge the hitboxes of. I swear the claw smash in particular hits about 10% larger of an area than it looks like it should.

This fight encounter is about knowing your class and find the best approach to beat this boss. I was able to down him on my lock after 2 hours attempts.

Of course, being a one-shot is part of the gameplay… I understand why they removed the PvE arenas; they couldn’t create gameplay like the creator of a Souls game.

It’s not about you need to know your character, we just need more stuff and brann need to be a level 60… to kill him easely.

I’ve been playing my character for a long time and it’s clearly not a hard class to play…

Now my best try is 40%hp

Like prefix brann didnt die all that much. Now he flops over and stands in stupid.

As an evoker… after 700 pulls before nerf (no joke) I got him down to 28% at this point I knew the fight like the back of my hand. The only toss up was Brann and his dispells. Did it as flame shaper. First dispell come from brann and then alternate your breath, also get pvp trinket, this removes the dot. Macro your interrupt to be /targetlasttarget and your shattering start to always target eggs. Also macro rescue for when your brann decides to sit in the aoe one shot on p2. Why flameshaper? it allowed me to sometimes 2 shot the eggs depending on the crit. Before the nerf disint ticks just took to long for me to kill the egg.

Ah got you i am doing scale commander and the eggs arent a big issue. Its bran either resettinf the boss standing in stupid or just not doing what he is supposed to do.

I also need to make sure im fully gemmed and enchanted too and use potions flasks etc anykind of buff.

yeah I don’t think they would be an issue now with the nerfs, before, it just wasn’t fast enough to deal with everything at the same time lol

My best pull was 25% and the boss ran to bran who was outside the room and reset. No idea why he ran to bran he just did.

Indie devs are trying their best!

:flushed:

Skill issue

Yeah… dealing with Brann was that rough :dotted_line_face:

After dealing with an AI that interrupts when it wants to and not when you need it to is something I don’t want on my bingo card again anytime soon.

it’s more lucky issue or stuff issue for real.

now my best try is 25%hp i cry :frowning:

I’m curious now, what does a difficult / rewarding encounter look like to you? Because in a previous post you said it should’t have dps checks either.

I have been kill the boss, but he’s really tough… in tier 2

The only issue I have is him being able to crit, then I guess Brann being unreliable. (But that’s minor.)

Honestly sometimes I feel the hardest stuff in this game just comes down to luck a lot of the time.

It’s difficult to make one encounter balanced for every class and spec. There are many different arrangements of abilities. Some are more mobile than others. A fight that requires near constant movement while also bursting down a soft-enrage mechanic might be fine for some specs with easy movement, and difficult for others which are slower or require a lot of hard casting for full DPS.

The egg also sucks for melee sometimes because he’ll claw smash right on top of it. You aren’t given enough time to waste on killing the egg, but a bunch of mandatory movement abilities can chain together and make it borderline impossible to deal with.

It’s just not that well tuned to every class’ strengths and weaknesses. Which, I will say, is a huge undertaking… but if they’re going to do it, they should do it right.
