My first thought and reaction was the same as the crowd when they annonce diablo immortal at blizzcon .
I still hear the red shirt guy question and asking my self the same thing about DH …

Demon hunters may cry…
Stop memeing is not THAT bad. BFA demonic had no playstyle diversity thx to eyes of rage and furious gaze and I personally like that they seem to be opening opportunities for momentum. All the demonic options looks like they’l still work, its just that defensive utilities took the hardest hit not from the nerf bat. Things will be fine, you just can’t off tank dungeons anymore and icy viens might tell you you have to dash around for a buff. If that sounds bad to you go demo, if that feels bad to you, go fury/enhance/outlaw. There are bigger things to QQ about like first blood not being baseline than “my class my class blizz why qqqqq.”
Demonic being nerfed by 25% feels terrible for those that enjoy the playstyle, and honestly speaking, 90% of DH players absolutely detest Momentum.
First Blood is still a talent, Essence Break and Cycle of Hatred are useless in comparison.
Immolation Aura is baseline, but the reason we took it in the first place is still a talent option.
No more Furious Gaze (which is good and bad at the same time)
Souls don’t reduce Eye Beam’s cooldown anymore
Absolutely trash tier legendaries
RNG fiesta tied to legendaries and one very impactful conduit
Unbound Chaos is an Azerite trait that was removed because it was problematic
I mean, a lot of other classes received plenty of adjustments and were given abilities back to make them more complete. Havoc in comparison only got nerfs for the most part, so I’d say that it’s actually pretty bad if you were expecting a more polished and improved version of what we can currently play on live and I didn’t even mention the survivability nerfs.
At level 60 on beta. For anything really pvp or pve. If you play momentum you have almost no healing at all. The 25% leech from demonic is huge. Not sure what content you enjoy but let me tell you, if you don’t have a healer anywhere near you. Or pull more then 2 mobs in the maw. You will be proficient at running to your corpse.
It’s pretty clear from a multitude of your posts that you understand very little about class design.
I mean you effectively said momentum would be no problem at high level pve content because “we have netherwalk, and every dh will go ven thyr, so we’ll also have a teleport”. I can’t help but approach any comment I see you make in these forums with that one in the back of my mind.
Shadowlands class design is that bad as it stands currently. Our baseline toolkit is essentially equivalent to a class that was just created, and once again we’re reliant on borrowed powers for a semblance of an engaging rotation.
Xiak is a long-standing troll. I ignore him now. And on a side note, anyone who pushes momentum over demonic is either A) a troll, B) simultaneously a masochist and a sadist, or C) doesn’t understand how truly horrible momentum is in high-end content with lots of movement.
