I’ve been wanting this ever since Dracthyr were introduced. They could easily just add some universal Metamorphosis animation for it.

Yeah ever since they added flying for the lizards I have been really wanting demo hunters to have the same (I don’t care for the formation flying cause I see most demon hunters as loners) but still being able to use our wings would be so nice

Ever since Legion this has been ask non-stop and I wanted it so bad, imagine my disappointment when I got my Class Bat Mount, very cool but I wanted to fly with my wings! 
I’ll even take even the Limited original Soar ability that Dracthyr got in DF at this point as long as it allows me to fly even if its temporarily!

Lets say Demon Hunters could fly like the Dracthyr ability ‘Soar’ — would you rather them:
- Flying with base wings,
- or have their ‘mount-up’ ability ascend them into their Metamorphosis form and launch of the ground to fly off & go where they please?
Personally I love the idea of the latter 
The more I can get the vibes of that recent (and awesome!) Demon-Hunters fight: ‘The Soul Hunters’ in the Manaforge Omega raid, the better!

The 2nd option since Illidan in HOTS can fly in meta (when he obtains it permanently) also in the 3 dh fight of this last raid, the boss is flying in the same way

Yeah that’s why I mentioned ‘The Soul Hunters’ in my former comment replied to → They’re the three Demon-Hunters in the raid, flying the same way

Personally I’d love a demon-hunter lore-quest to resurrect them three like we did Illidan, for one means or another of the Illidari - They were super cool characters & their voice-lines went so hard, lol 
Plus it’d be cool to have more notable Demon-Hunter characters in the lore & story too

Maybe the first one? I guess the fact that Vengeance metamorphosis doesnt have wings so it’d be a bit weird flying around with that or just being forced into havoc meta form as a vengeance DH.

I mean, they could just utilise the demon form for flight either way.
Perhaps maybe give a demon-hunter NPC to provide the option that ‘attunes’ the runes upon you, to alter which form in flight you’d prefer.

I haven’t check in a while but I do think the assets for some fiery energy wings existed for Vengeance Meta they just never added them… I think the Diablo Promotion Mount uses them… they could just code them to Vengeance Meta although smaller and green I guess. They also could code the Spike Bladed Wings of those weird Spider Demons too for Vengeance.
Then again just changing into your Havoc Meta would be the easiest to code for a flying form using Dracthyr rig flying animation… like you said.

Lol players would go crazy over Dracthyr being able to Meta! DH already have Godzilla Breath just need the Laser beam of Havoc! This and Druid Dracthyr would probably be one of the most popular because all their transformation would look like different types of Dragons… Hmmm DK could be popular too if they actually give a Skeletal Frost Wyrm CC option among other types of skin VFX for undeath.
And we even kinda saw what this Meta would look like in Aberrus Raid with Scalecommander Sarkareth! He did it first as an Evoker sure, but it was the first Void Meta we seen even before DH:
Although I think if anything it be an Evoker Hero Spec maybe, but the Assets could be use if Blizz ever decides to allow Dracthyr as DH.
