DH feels incomplete

I don’t comment often but I don’t feel like DH rotation feels that empty of buttons to press, and I don’t feel like it needs more maintenance buffs with momentum and throw glance having a dot attached. I wish they would move momentum to another part of the tree and it right now is hard to play the single target build as it desycncs essence break from eye beam. I would also like not to have to use vengful retreat but those are my issues and can understand if people like the momentum play style

I personally think they are already one of the best AoE specs in the game. I dont think they need more aoe at all. They go in and like immediately peak to there highest dps because of the amount of tools/spells that hit everything.

They just need better playability which is why i said just a full make over for a 3rd spec.

The problem with them is that the momentum build is very one dimensional and as you said its kinda clunky. And its the best DH spec ive seen non momentum users just get insta kicked from groups.

They’ve made it so necessary to play that way due to multipliers on spells.

Remove the necessity by creating a 3rd spec and make it so crazily different but make it competitive with the DH.

I think that would create life again in the game is an extra spec to every class.

Sometimes i forgot how bad the player base is at making video game.

Think people are missing the point. Not saying DH needs more buttons, more buttons means more better.

I am saying more buttons will give the developers more options to create unique and fun interactions between the abilities and make the spec more fun.

I am not a game designer, just trying to give an example of interactions that DH could have. The people at blizzard have a lot of experience designing games. I’m sure they can come up with something much better.

Yea, when I said more aoe I was thinking about playability. Mobility for DH is wonky and hard to predict if you’ll be within range or not, requiring constant correcting. It’s why Blade Dance end up feeling a lot better than Chaos Strike, which always comes with constants “not within range” messages. So, I’m not suggesting boosting aoe dps.

I think a pretty important aspect of demon hunters is blindness and glaives. Basically, someone who’s blinded but, in truth, gained a peculiar sight, allowing them to see better than others, and combined with glaives, which can hit anything in a circle, DHs can counter or slash anyone around them. Feels like a proper class perk when it comes to fantasy.
