Hi Blizzard –
While you’re going overboard with new customization, can you allow DHs to choose non-firey eyes in the barber? I do like the look, but I think it’d be cool if we could calm them down and have normal (no-blindfold) eyes for a bit.

Yes please. Even if they just have glowy-green eyes like Belves have but a bit more…glow-y?

Uhm. That’s not possible. Demon hunters gouge their eyes out. While there’s eyes on the model (due to limitations graphically, or to prevent something that gory being seen), the point is that it’s meant to showcase the fel leaving their sockets. Like - it’s part of the ritual. To be a demon hunter, you must gouge your eyes out.

They don’t have eyes anymore. That’s why they often wear the blindfolds, it’s not for the fashion. The fire is their magical sight and the fel energy in them.

I would love to see normal eyes for a demon hunter. I know the whole stabbing-your-eyes-out thing is like, sort of the point, but still
The whole point of DHs is that they can see magic because they scratched their own eyes out in desperation and had them replaced with fel flames.
You can’t be a DH if you don’t consume a demon, and consuming that demon causes you to rip your eyes out. It’s a part of the process.
I’m down for any customization as long as it doesn’t literally ignore a class’ entire reason for being that class.

Just pop in a white glass ball /arcane gem into your eye socket or something. GG ez. you got bedazzled eyes with colors of your choosing.

The felfire literally incinerates anything that touches it. When Illidan’s eyes were burned out, it scorched his skin and skull and it was described as a pain unimaginable.

Demon Hunters gouge their eyes out as part of their story.
If the eyes aren’t fiery, there’s nothing to see there. Empty sockets (or badly disfigured eyes) - hence the blindfolds. You’ll notice the eyes that you can see on Demon Hunters when their blindfolds are removed (via closed helmet) are a very faint, untextured green - that’s not actually representative of what their eyes would look like. It’s essentially a placeholder since the race has eyes even if the class doesn’t.
Bottom line is, there’s nothing to dim. I’d rather Blizzard not disregard their own lore just to bury an unpopular part of being a hero class. It’d be like asking Death Knights to not get their glowing eyes.
If we get eyes back, then we haven’t really sacrificed everything.
But hey there, I see you still have ears! You did not sacrifice those! I feel you demon hunters are just claiming you sacrificed everything so you receive sympathy! I see through your plot!
Actually, I wouldn’t have minded sacrificing some hand size.

I’m at your side. This topic has been discussed in the DK forums and quite the number of rabid players completely against it becuse it’s “extremely lore breaking, cuz all undead eyes risen by the LK should glow blue”.
